I know absolutely nothing about North Bullitt except a little short snippet of them I saw on a Louisville news station on a business trip. I hear they have a great tailback and I suspect their defense is pretty solid also. Can anyone else shed some light on North Bullitt?

 

With Thanksgiving weekend coming up, I suspect all of the Lone Oak alums will be in attendance just to watch this team and Robinson.

It looks like Coach Newton has had a good team over the past 3 seasons (23-11). I hear North Bullitt has a dynamic duo of Cissell & Reynolds and has an experienced defense. I anticipate a huge contingent of Lone Oak Fans this Friday night. Lone Oak has been starving for a good football program for years & thanks to Coach Jack Haskins they are starting to build one.

That's a long way to travel for the Bullitt Co. folks. Anyone going should stop at Patti's restaurant on the way there - thickest pork chops I've ever seen.

Staying at one of the state parks on Lake Barkley would also be a good idea. Much nicer than just a hotel.

mmmmmm......Patti's!! There's no shortage of excellent restaurants in the Paducah area. If any of the fine folks travelling down from Shepherdsville need any directions or suggestions don't hesitate to ask.

North usually travels pretty well.

 

They have an excellent team and when they lose it is usually because of something they did. They have a tendancy to turn the ball over and committ dumb penalties. When they don't they are very tough to beat.

 

If Dalton Cissell is able to get going in the first quarter it will be a long night for the Lone Oak defense as he tends to gather steam as the game goes on. When RD Reynolds is on the field on offense, Lone Oak will need to have a spy on him.

 

I would advise no matter how good Lone Oak's QB is he should not throw in Reynolds direction. He is a D1 talented safety. North's O-Line is huge .. not sure they have a guy under 270 on it.

 

I think this is a very interesting game. Contrast in styles and IMO the best team Lone Oak will have faced this year. Should be an excellent measuring stick.

I understand Cissell is a phenomenal player. Any college offers? Does N. Bullit pass very much?

Thanks for the post. I watched the highlight videos of Cissell and Reynolds on the North Bullitt Football Eagles football website (great website by the way) and really noticed Reynolds tenacity on defense. Robinson and crew will have to be extra cautious of his presence on the field.

 

I also noticed on their website roster that they feature some big boys on the line. That worries me a little too. Lone Oak has fared pretty good against the run and even though they've been prone to give up some big plays through the air this season, their tackling fundamentals are pretty solid.

 

Being an alumnus from Lone Oak, expect a huge crowd at Flash Field because this is foreign territory for Lone Oak football. The entire community, former alums, and the current students/parents are extremely excited and proud of the Purple Flash this season.

I know Lone Oak isn't your traditional powerhouse program but for this particular year, they are very, very good. There schedule hasnt been great but Calloway Co, Fulton City Caldwell Co and Hopkins Central are pretty solid teams and they handled them all rather handily with exception to the 1st Calloway game. I'm not sure theres been a better passing team in Western Ky in a long, long time, probably ever. I believe NBullitt will play with them for awhile but the Purple Flash will come up with too many big play strikes and eventually win by 2-3 tds...

He is only a junior and is getting close to 5000 career yards if he hadn't passed it already. Not sure about his college offers, time2punt might have more info on that.

 

I think it will be a close high scoring game, North can score on anyone if they protect the ball. They struggled defensively early in the season but have been tough the last few weeks.

 

They pass almost as well as they run. Reynolds lines up at WR and QB on offense and is a quality player at either position. He is almost as good of a runner as Cissell.

Cissell is getting letters from Stanford, Purdue, Georgia Tech and Tennessee. He has been to 2 Tennessee games this season by invitation. He has averaged 146 yds a game for his career and started every game since his freshman year. North played a pretty good QB in Alex Matthews from Shelby Co. (A final 8 team in 6A) earlier this year. Shelby won 40-35. Reynolds was a Tremendous 26 pre-season pick and has had some injury and other troubles this year, but is playing very well right now. North Bullitt fans travel pretty well, but this is a long trip on a holiday weekend so not sure how many will attend.
