Cissell is getting letters from Stanford, Purdue, Georgia Tech and Tennessee. He has been to 2 Tennessee games this season by invitation. He has averaged 146 yds a game for his career and started every game since his freshman year. North played a pretty good QB in Alex Matthews from Shelby Co. (A final 8 team in 6A) earlier this year. Shelby won 40-35. Reynolds was a Tremendous 26 pre-season pick and has had some injury and other troubles this year, but is playing very well right now. North Bullitt fans travel pretty well, but this is a long trip on a holiday weekend so not sure how many will attend.

This should be a very good game. I won't make the trip just because it's not my Bullitt East team going but would love to listen or watch it.

Except for Shelby County's. Take nothing away from Robinson, but switch him and Alex Matthews and Matthews would have identical numbers.

Just like time2punt said .. they saw just as good of a passing game against Shelby County. Alex Matthews, IMO, is the best QB in the state.

 

Also to be fair, Lone Oak has played no one the caliber of North Bullitt all year long and LO definitely has not faced a RB as good as Dalton Cissell. It is hard to pass all over a team if your offense is rarely on the field. Also I'm pretty sure LO hasn't played against a safety as good as RD Reynolds is either, if you throw his way there is just a good of a chance it will be 6 the other direction.

 

I could be totally wrong and Lone Oak could win big, but I have a feeling North will win a close one.

That is very possibly true but Shelby also got 40 points on the board and if you give up 40 Friday odds are you will get a L. LO's defense is pretty good.

Forgive me for failing to mention D Williams (Fulton City), he is also a quality rb. We were able to shut him down, I'm sure the wet field slow him down considerably & he didn't rack up many yards against us. Wright has rushed for over 500 yards the past two years against us but our rushing defense has vastly improve this year. Most people don't know about Lone Oak stingy defense.

I will agree that Williams is a great back. They also played against Willis from Calloway. But the one difference I see is that North Bullitt will have a bigger, better offensive and defensive lines than either of those teams. LO has faced good skill players this year, but not on the O and D lines. This will be where LO might have trouble, but if Robinson has time in the pocket like he has all year, then I don't see LO losing, irregardless of how well their defense plays. I have felt like all year long, at some point LO's weak schedule is gonna backfire on them......I know LO played Calloway and Fulton City (which are decent teams), but NB didn't play anyone below 4A in their regular season and faced tough teams week in and week out. With all this said, I still think its gonna be a great game. I don't think its gonna be a blowout by any means. IMO NB is gonna get more pressure on Robinson than he has seen all season, enough to stay competitive at least.......Im not picking a score, but LO is obviously the favorite.

North has no one on their O-Line under 270 .... I think this is going to be a very good close ball game ... IMO it will be every bit as good as Bell Co. vs. Lex Catholic. North won't be underestimating LO, I would suggest LO not think they can just show up and pass all over North.

 

Like I said before hard to throw the ball if the Offense isn't on the field. When BE lost to North in the playoffs North had the ball for 34 minutes and BE has a solid defense.

 

North only loses when they make mistakes. East might have been the only team that beat them this year that North didn't shoot themselves in the foot. If they hold onto the ball and don't committ stupid personal fouls, they are as good as any 4A team in the state.

 

FWIW, North is my team's bitter rival, so I'm not a homer when it comes to them.

The biggest concern for Lone Oak is how they will respond to a team that can control the line of scrimmage against them and put constant pressure on Robinson.

 

Nobody has run the ball very effectively on Lone Oak all year, but it sounds like North Bullitt may have the personnel to do it.
