Having seen all 3 of these teams play. LC has the advantage over all the other teams by having over 100 kids. Anyone that thinks this is not an advantage watch the movie 300. Bell is a good football team as is FC. This is the game i hope to see two teams that having seen both play should be a great one.

These kids also love the weight lifting competions and have a friendly rivalry there as well. Great bunch a kids to watch

As I was leaving the field last night during the E. Jess / Franklin Co. Game I observed something that impressed me. The players on each side couldn't wait to speak to the opposing team. It was hey how are you and great game. Neither team was condensending or disrespectful to the other. How refreshing it was to see the sportsmanship these young men extended to one another.

I am a mom too and have taken my FB Player several times to the ER for this and that thanks to Football injuries. According to the ER doc (Who I unfortunately became friends with) Soccer has more injuries than FB. I hate seeing my son at the bottom of a pile or the one everyone is taking a knee for. I understand though that football has been a driving motivator in my son's life and he is part of a "fraternity" for life. His experience as a football player can never be taken away from him.

East and West play tonight in their annual Cancer Awareness Bowl. Any predictions?

It was a nice night for football. East played as a team and there was no true stand out of the game. My hats off to them.

All state player out of Alabama.

6 pm. First game is Harrison and East Jessamine. Not sure who Dunbar plays in the 2nd game.

East Jessamine has enough speed to match any one they meet this year. Fairly young ball club but expectations are high for them doing well.

East Jessamine Scored twice against SK and SK only scored once. East Jessamine in the early game scored 3 times against Trimble and held Trimble scoreless.

East will have to replace alot this year. They lost a lot to graduation but on the upside they also have several young players who got time to develop behind last years class. I believe they have a small senior class. This year will hinge on how well the underclassmen preform. East plays in one of the toughest districts in the state. Lex Cath, Boyle, and cross town rival West all pose a tough challenge. GO EAST !!!!!

Is East Ridge looking for a new coach? If so what happened to Coach Ratliff

There has been talk of Lex. Cath and Boyle Co being "power houses" in 4A this year. Can anyone shed any light as to how the other teams in this district looks.

Complete QB Camp is coming to Lexington Catholic in June. Its usually a very good one.

They better with only 4 schools in the district.

Also Jessamine Co will not let the kids go door to door selling anything..per that same meeting. How the heck are these teams suppose to raise any money? For the most part the county is a farming community.

congrats to FC. They really came to play . Being an East fan I know we are a good team but FC showed that they really wanted it last night. I wish them all the best on their playoff run.

I guess no one saw east take a knee at the last game instead of scoring on FC during the last minute of the game. Showed class on East's part.
