Any one with predictions for this game. It should be a good match up between these two teams. East 28 - Pikeville 14

Would some one tell me the locations of the Pike County Bowl? Which games are played at Belfry and which are at Pikeville and the times of these games. Thanks

I was at the scrimmages and throught that LCA was not very good. East looked much better than last year and seemed to have control from the start.The thing to remember is that both teams probably ran less than 15 different plays. I think East was the best team on the field that night in both games.

Its early yet. They should pull through. THe early game is at 5:30 ish?

Anyone have any details on the start times and such for Fridays grid at Dunbar? Who is Dunbar playing?

I beleave that East Jessamine could be one of these teams. Last year they had bad luck with injuries and it being there first year with a new coach. They only lost a 6 or 7 seniors and with the young kids getting to play because of the injuries I think we could see some great things from this group. This could be there year.

It is at Belfry?

Last year was a down year for East with injuries and such. Freshman QB had to step up and play. Who's to say with everyone back and healed what will occur. Both teams are favorites of mine and I can't wait to see the outcome of the meeting.

I have to agree on this being a great year for football. Look for East to rise to the top of this district. I am hearing good things from the kids they think this team has a lot of positives. East should be a very plesent supprise.

East will have a winning season at least 6 wins. They could be very good if the older players decide that is what they want and do things right. They could be top to bottom talent wise one of the best teams in their district. The Middle school has had some great teams the last couple years so i look for East to push for the top spot in the district foe several years.

I talked with some of West's players the other day. They feel that they will have a good season and are working hard to back it up. They feel that having switched coaches (3rd coach in 3 months)has hurt them.

I kind of understand what you mean but playing Pikeville has to be better than playing a weak 4A school.That is if PIkeville is fielding the same type of team that i remember them having in years past.

I understand the weight program means a lot to every football program but you still have to have the athletes . I mean the kids that can play the game. How are Pikevilles Numbers? Do they have any young up and coming kids?

I see Pikeville plays Henry Clay in the Pike County bowl. This sounds like a big game for Pikeville. I like seeing the smaller schools take on the bigger schools. That is if the smaller school can play with them.

I have been watching the two football programs in jessamine county. West is having trouble with coaches and lost a lot to graduation. I look for them to have a down. East fell on hard times last year. They had a new coach last year and lost some key kids to injuries. I am hearing a lot of good things from kids at east. They expect to get back on the winning side if things this year. Good Luck to both school.

Thanks for the info. I grew up in the pikeville area and just got back interested in high school football a couple years ago.
