Who will have the biggest turn around?

Featured Replies

I would be interested in hearing about teams that didn't do very well last year but are expected to be much better this year. In NKY the teams that are most likley to do well this year are the same teams that will did well last year. Perhaps after last year's losing season, Cov Holy Cross will turn in a winning season this year. What about other teams across the state? Will Lawrence Co turn things around? They used to be very good a few years back but have struggled lately.

Hopefully, Pulaski Co. will have a much better season after going 2-8 and missing the playoffs.

There is a Great chance that Lawrence Co will be starting a Freshman QB so I wouldn't put to much pressure on them early. With Corey Humphrey transferring to Paintsville (their starting QB last year) and Nathanial Dials transferring to Johnson Central (6'4ish 250ish LB) they lost arguably their top two studs that didn't graduate. I do think the attitude their is changing and I don't suspect them to stay down much longer. Supposedly their defense is flying to the ball which is a good sign in Louisa. Even when things were going bad they still played teams like Belfry down to the last play.

Pburg and Breathitt are two other schools that I can't see staying down for too long.

As far as biggest turnaround... I'll have to think on it for a little bit.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Bryan Staion right off my head. That whole Region is tough but they have the horses to do great things and I thinkn they now have the coach to lead them. I have had the pleasure of working with Coach Lucas and there is quite a stir going on over at Station right now in a good sense of the word stir.

I think Prestonsburg and Breathitt County will be two teams that make huge turn arounds from last season. I look for both to be region contenders (of course the favorites are Belfry and Middlesboro).

I beleave that East Jessamine could be one of these teams. Last year they had bad luck with injuries and it being there first year with a new coach. They only lost a 6 or 7 seniors and with the young kids getting to play because of the injuries I think we could see some great things from this group. This could be there year.

Muhlenberg North apparently, according to their website they are going 10-0. Then next year and to infinity they will be running the new class 4A. Thanks to whoever linked me.

I hope Louisville Butler has a good season.

All new & enthusiastic coaching staff, old staff was tired 4 years ago.
