In order for Corey to be in the top 5 he will have to average at least 25 pts a game. That is possible but I think it's a little optimistic to believe that the three of them will average 60 pts a game. I know SG plays a weak schedule but come on now.

With Kiernan I agree with you on the fact that he really doesnt have d-1 game but he has d-1 frame and that seems to matter most now a days. He probably could have went to a smaller d-1 school for basketball. As for Jacobs, I see him winding up at NKU. He's a great player and if he was 6ft 4 or 6ft 5 he probably would be getting d-1 offers but at 6ft 1in d-2 or NAIA is probably more in his future.

With all due respect to Greg, I dont believe you will see him playing d-1 basketball. I would say Austin has the only chance of doing that in the 9th. Kiernan and Jefferson could possibly but they are going with football.

I agree Howard was absolutely huge for the Eagles over the past couple of years and without him and really no inside presence at all, it is going to be a lot tougher for the Scott guards to produce the way they have. There going to really have to shoot the ball well this year to win and in games where they play good teams with some size they will have to shoot the ball excellent just to stay in it.

That's huge for Holmes. They will need his size but I guess the question is " how long before he's not"?

I agree with that. I do believe that Scott is a better overall team. Simply put Brossart is the best team in this district by far and then you have everyone else.

I havent seen any post that would change my mind on the subject. And people are now getting off track so I assume no one has one. If Preston Knowles is the answer than the answer is no.

I have an issue with this. Corey Pelle alone makes Silver Grove's backcourt the best. The combo that Scott has is nice but no comparison to what Pelle alone can bring to a game.

So I guess the answer to the original question is no. And I agree.

Wow I must have gotten taller as well. He seemed to be the same height as I am 6'1 when I was standing right next to him at the nationals. He's not 6'4. I would maybe give him 6'2. I hope you guys are right though. I wish nothing but the best for Austin. I just think he would be better suited at a W.Ky or a Miami University maybe.

First off unless Austin grew 3 inches since the last time I saw him a couple of months ago then he is still 6ft 1in. I love Hill's game and I agree he is without a doubt the best player in nky right now but as for making an impact at a UC or Xavier, im really not convinced of that. His decision making is his biggest downfall and since he is a guard and would be expected to take care of the ball then that might be a problem. He would without a doubt have to play the 2 guard position ( Austin has never played point ) and that could keep him off the floor as well at such a big program.

Jeff Brooks from Doss. He's a 6ft 8in bigman with tremedous upside. After summer ball was complete he started getting some major interest. He's more athletic than Coleman but doesnt have the alround offensive game that Thomas has. Not everybody knows him that well because Doss hasnt made it to Rupp but people are starting to catch on.

Why do you think that Coleman has a better chance than Brooks? And you might be the only person I've heard give that much praise to Preston. I've never got a chance to see him play, is he really that good?

Well let me ask you in this way. Could any of them make an impact at a Kentucky, Louisville, UC or Xavier? I know a few of them are getting looked at and possibly offers from schools of that magnitude but could any of them have a decent career there?

Is there anybody in this class i.e. Pettigrew, Brooks, Proffit and others that you feel could make any impact at a major D-1 school? It's really hard for me to say yes.

Nate's a good ball player but he still has to show me he can be a good player game after game. I know he played on a very talented Holmes team but there were games when you couldnt even remember if Nate played.

SK would have to play 30 games this year and Mike would have to average 30pts a game to catch him. I dont see that happening but in my opinion he will go down as one of the best to play at Simon Kenton no matter what he finishes with.

I dont know exactly but im guessing he's only around 1200 or so. He has a ways to go to catch Krohman.

That's absolutley ridiculous. There's no doubt that Hester is the best player in the 8th.

Can't remember the years but didnt the Hayes brothers play for Holmes back around 90? Lamont and James. Anthony Hughes as well.

Top 5 in 8th 1 Mike Hester, SimonKenton- One of the quickest guards in state. Terrific ball-handler and good court vision. If he gets hot from behind the arc he's almost impossible to guard. Downfall- Size. 2 Israel Chambers, Shelby Co- Great body for a banger down low. Very tough on the boards with a really nice touch around the basket. Downfall- quickness 3 Eugene Wade, Shelby Co- He's 6ft, 8in enough said. He puts fear in anybody coming in to the lane with his shot-blocking. Plays well above the rim. Downfall- any kind of offense other than dunking. 4 Josh Elbert, Simon Kenton- A terrific rebounder and very athletic. Also is pretty good at creating for teammates with his dribble. Good defender as well. Downfall- very hot or cold shot. 5 Shawn Stiles, South Oldham- Good at everything and very good at some but not great. Fundamentaly very sound and a great leader. Downfall- size.
