  1. Lot of football to be played.... time will tell as to how well the coaches and players put the team together. Late November is a long way off..... the Tigers have to get through the regular season befor even thinking of the post season..... Lots of very good teams out there.....
  2. Trinity vs. Lexington Catholic Scrimage set for Friday night... Will either team try to win, or just focus on finding who will play what position??? Just trying to judge the significance of the score befor it is reported as final, final after three quaters, final after half etc...... What will be the format for this scrimmage. Rock club help us out....
  3. We all live in America. We have choices for our families. We all are empowered to make those decisions. However, those that choose to send their kids to private schools, pay that turition plus the taxes to send your child to public school as well.... so I dont see it as a segregation. If some children were forced [/b]to go to one school or another, then I see this as segregation. When a parent sends their child to a private school, they are giving their child the best education possible. The decision says nothing about the public system. It speaks volumes of what the parent values for their child and their willlingness to sacrafice to see that the child gets a private education.
  4. If someone has a more difficult schedule than St. X, I would like to see it...
  5. I was referencing the earlier post about FANS gathering after the game(s)... Has nothing to do about the actual kids playing on the teams.... I agree, with your point, however, Im sure that when one (player or team) underachieves, it gives them motivation to work harder and become more diciplined in their approach to the next challenge. Not trying to belabor the point, but I would speculate that the rock players and coaches would describe some of their feelings as "embarrased" after the Routs of '95, '04, and '05. I would say the same for X fans in last years final => Embarrased...
  6. Its one thing to be humble and socialize... another to take your lumps etc, but to be totally embarassed, its time to go HOME.........
  7. Couple points of interest.. 1. A lot has been said about the gross numbers of kids at X and T vs. public schools.... What if all 4A teams were limited to 65 kids, 3A 55 kids, 2A 45 kids and a 25 kids. Do you think this would level the playing field??? In St. X's case, they would take the best 65, out of 110.... Just how hard do you think those kids are going to work to make that team...... OK, St. X typically beats you with 40 - 45 players anyway..... so I just dont think that would have much of an impact.... 2. Stop playing the St. X's and Trinity's of the state of KY.... What happens to your Athletic budget after not playing St.X for 5 years when there was at least 8,000 at each game, home and away.... By the way, you might need new uniforms for the ladies field hockey team too..... I think this is real and it would effect all the teams that have average to below average fan attendance at games..... To answer your question, Athletic competition is a great experience and teacher for the youth of our society. We should not segregate the kids whos parents pay for public education and privite education....
  8. Let me count some Routs of recent history.... 1995 40 - 0 2004 36 - 18 2005 48 - 16 These are not the only wins, but the only Routs....
  9. I agree Ox. It seems that the general public has no issue with the St. X football team having a theme this year. Observation point => the CJ puting this article at the top of the sports page.....I read that they have adopted the "Last Game" as a motivational point. I don't see any problems with it. I think it would work well for any team. I also wonder how many of the rock club will complain to the CJ (Jody) that they are offended that the St. X team has taken this as their theme. It sure was a hot topic on this site just a few weeks a go...... Looking forward to Saturday in BG.... GO TIGERS.. !
  10. Was the score board turned on during the scrimmage?
  11. I made my perdiction several weeks ago. Im sticking to it.......
  12. Does anyone have an "Officially - Un official" results to the Varsity, JV and Frosh scrimages between Trinity and Scott Co.?
  13. I glad to hear that the Tigers did not struggle. Sounds as if it was a pretty good scrimmage. On to the regular season.....
  14. Looking forward to this one. Should be a real test for both teams to measure where they are at and how far they need to come to be ready to make a long haul.... The BG schedule looks as rough as the St. X schedule. I anticipate some fireworks in this game.... mostly on the ground.... from BOTH TEAMS...... Should be a great one. The grill will be loaded for the pregame... Safe travels to and from for all.... Go Tigers...!!
  15. How could BGP disrespect mighty ole Trinity by not ranking them preseason No. 1???? Just who do they think they are???? I mean really,, what is ment by that statement that most people on the outside looking in felt St. X had the better team over Trinity last year..... This just cant be possible...... We are Trinity....!!! Ive heard enough of the above position, Trinity fans, get over it ..... Take your Championship and get on with it.... The rest of the football community does not need to rubber stamp your success in the title game last year..... We all saw the results of the September game.......
  16. Sounds like another First Class Step made by two leading institutions, ST.X and Bisig Impact Group...
  17. Has Owensboro brought home the hardware befor? What about Henderson co.? Marshall Co. All of these teams have very good programs for many years. I just dont know if they have won it all previously....
  18. Eventhough its cloudy the bass are biteing... Water temp is a little warm. Sunlight has decreased some 35 minutes per day since late June.
  19. 6 PM Friday at Oldham Co. according to St. X web site.....
  20. The CJ had a computer to the Lit ratings in the late 40's and 50's...? It must have been a little different format than what is used today... I understand that it is a computer based modual which determines the rankings based off of specific input from state teams scores and games etc... They may call it the LITkenhouse ratings in the 40's and 50's, but its not the same sysems used today.... Please correct me if Im wrong.
