  1. Out of respect for other BGP posters, I choose not to engage in posts which have absolutly nothing to do with this thread. Im not a TJ'er and not going to play that game.
  2. This game will require some Coaching skills that Coach Brooks is not well versed at (during his tenure at UK)..... How to motivate a team which won its last game (signuature win) and has to come back and play a team that they should beat. Heres to hoping the Cats get another big W.
  3. Ease Up a bit there LSU. I expect that T will win big. Do you think that Ballard will be in the game at the end of the 4th , 3rd, 2nd or 1st quarters? I suspect that T will be ahead by at least 3 TD's 4 miniutes into the 2nd Q. If you really think that I'm off base. Read the box score on Sat. am. By the way, my comment that you quoted had absolutely nothing to do with Manual. Nothing against Ballard as well. Just calling it like I see it. What was the score of the first T vs. Ballard game (this year).? I remember it not being so close.
  4. Rocks win in another cake walk. Look for them to match or exceed last weeks point total.
  5. What a great 2nd round game. X Offense vs. Male D: X has shone it can pass over the top against the 9 box D of Male. Will they be able to do that again? I'm going to say, not as effective as the 2nd half of the first game. Male D will make adjustments on that. Male pass rush will dictate the effctiveness of the X passing game. If x can pass block then the passing game of X can be a significant factor. I do not see this as the case of winning the game for X. X will have to control the line of scrimage and run the ball effectively. This is how X wins this game, if they do indeed win. Male O vs X D: Beaumont and Beaumont and Beaumont. I do believe that his talent coupled with the poor tackling of X D, can change the outcome of this game. X HAS to contain Beaumont if they want to stay in the game. The Male QB cant run wild either. These two players must have very good games for Male to win. X must control them to a limit. X D line has to get sacks against Male as well as limiting the big Male runs etc. X must cover the dump screens from Male. Special teams: Who ever has no fumbles on returns etc. and does not give up a big return in the kicking game will have a strong advantage. The kicking game for X must limit the touches on kickoffs as well as executing extrapoints. This has been a sticking point all year. Really no reason to believe that it will be solved by Friday. Capable yes, but in reality, probably not. Could cost X game 2 as in game 1. MSC: St.X has been playing very flat of late. Anyone who has seen them, knows what Im talking about. IF ST X DOES NOT SHOW UP TO PLAY AT THE START OF THE GAME, LIGHTs OUT. No chance in this one for a come from behind W. Final Analysis: Male by 4. Because St. X has not demonstrated that they can play 4 quaters of agressive, efficient, spirited football. I would love to see it, want to see it, but I have to call it like it is. Id be more surprised if St. X won than Male winning. Looking forward to a great game decided in the last 6 minutes. GO TIGERS
  6. I like this comment. It is so true. Either we loose and it the same ole same ole OR UK Beats a struggling GA team. ANY W over GA is worth having.
  7. I love it. Sarcasim can be so humorous.
  8. I think Lincoln Co. could very well be a sleeper in the 4A bracket. Just could go several games deep into the tournament.
  9. It was just a question. No harm intended or directed. Glad to here Phillips has recovered and the running game is at full throttle.
  10. Tigers take this Round 1 game. Showing improvement over last couple of weeks. St. X by 3+ TD's. Set sites on Round 2. Anderson, Finch and Zoeller all have big nights.
  11. Congrats on a fine season. Looking forward to next year already.....
  12. St. X respects Manual as their first round opponent. St. X will be prepared for the battle at hand. St. X will never show disrespect for any opponent no matter that status/record of the opponent. St. X will play each round of the playoffs as the next challenge. Some teams disrespect their opponents by saying that their only challenge is in the third round. To each his own.
  13. Since the first two rounds are pretty much sowed up for T, who is it that you want to play in round 3? Male, Manual, St. X or PRP?
  14. Sounds like this will be a very competitive game. Good luck to both teams.
  15. I see a very focused St. X team this Friday vs. Manual. First round of the playoffs is a big step. Some teams have extremely soft opponents, however, Maunal is a very credable opponent. For the first game, Vic was out (if I recall correctly) and the final was 20 - 6. St. X will prevail by 3+ TDs.
  16. Male by 60+. Lots of playing time for the starters and second string.
  17. Double header is set for Friday at PJCS. I too would have liked to see Western on the carpet. It would be good for them to do very well in the playoffs.
  18. Its kind a funny. The T polesters flood all the St. X threads and TJ'em as much as possible. I guess thats what happens when you have very little competition and your primary focus is the development of your top 20 players only.
  19. Do you think T's season might end this Friday as a result of the shaky ground game? In looking at the last few weeks, injuries etc., this could be an issue for a one running back team.
  20. Kicking game should not be an issue with the Manual game.
  21. ^ Ask credible sources. The C-J says it is at PJCS. 6:00pm Friday. Ballard vs. Seneca to follow.
  22. Congratulations CATS. I think Rich deserves a contract extention. Impresive W. Clearly not the cellar dweller of the SEC anymore. Bowl bound. How about the Music City bowl? Great location.!
  23. Phillips scoring in the 4th quarter is all that needs to be said. It speaks volumes about the program and what is important.
