  1. Kyle had a nice visit at Michigans spring game.He said he went to a spring practice on March 21 and had a meeting with Coach Carr. Coach Carr wants Kyle to attend camp this summer and said he would meet with him again at camp. Coach Mike DeBord, who is the recruiter for this area, said he would be coming to Pendleton Co. High school sometime in May.
  2. Kyle Pettit, C, Pendleton Co. He is 6-3 290lbs. He is being recruited by Michigan. He was invited to come up sat. for the spring game. He also went to every home game this past season. He is a very strong player. He also has scored a 27 on the act test and is ranked second in his class.
  3. The numbers are probably not where the coach would like for them to be but, they will have great leadership in the 3 seniors this year. I hope they keep a positive attitude and have a great year. The team will be rather small except for the center Kyle Pettit. He is about 6-3 290lbs. and being recruited by many colleges including the University of Michigan Wolverines. I believe he was invited to the spring practices, and I heard he was going up there this weekend and attending the spring game in April.
  4. Good win for the Eagles. Pendleton may be in trouble in the first round of the districts.
  5. Belcher had a career high 20 rebounds. This could have been one of the worst shooting games i have seen.
  6. Jesse has all the tools to play at the next level. He hits as hard as anyone I have ever seen, but he only played 4 games last season due to unknown illness. He was in the hospital for a week. I do not believe he is being recruited by any college. The young man needs someone to give him a chance.
  7. Pendleton Co. returns C Kyle Pettit He is 6-3 290lbs. He made 5 trips by invitation to Michigan this past season. He will be attending camp there this summer.
  8. There is nothing wrong with Michigan and they do need a kicker.
  9. Let him play what he wants, your only in high school once. Enjoy all of it because it goes by quick.
  10. Not a parent of a player...and I DO know what I'm talking about since I know who submits the necessary information, what little there was, for the football team. Other coaches submit information, email it to the editors, and get it there on time. Again, this isn't to bash a particular school or team, only stating the facts that the media has not received a warm welcome this year at PC.
  11. To: CJTank74 Most of the seniors and MAYBE a junior or two?! Come on Coach, give those guys SOME credit. The new coaches weren't there for the winter...so don't make statements you can't back up. There were a whole lot more boys lifting weights BEFORE the new staff took over. Then attendance dropped way off. Instead of making negative statements about your team, why don't you help support them?
  12. Elaborate on why there are only a few guys dressed. TEX has a good point, but why aren't the younger kids staying around for the high school program?
  13. Not a good working realtionship in Pendleton County..as far as football goes. The local paper has reporters, but if a coach wants a good story, they pretty much have to give the details they want printed. All other sports seems to have a good rapport with the paper. Football, however, has had minimal coverage due to the fact that the coaching staff has refused to provide stats and other basic info for the paper. The only people hurting are the athletes and their families.
  14. I think he was unofficially visiting last year. But I don't think KY was "actively" recruiting juniors this year. If I'm correct, they told him they could only seek seniors but he was on a list for further contact after his junior season. That may be a line of bull, or a way to cover your rear...not sure.
  15. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!! With any luck he will decide to move along to another program and help them grow!
  16. Kyle Pettit from Pendleton Co. he is only a junior this year.I understand he has been invited back to Michigan this weekend for the game. I believe this will be his 5th trip back to the "BIG HOUSE".
  17. More importance on keeping the athletes safe...less on the field. Sorry for the confusion.
  18. YES! Friday night's mud bowls were unnecessary. I watched a football float on top of water when the official set it down. I watched players sink to mid calf in mud. The announcers stopped giving stats over the intercom because they couldn't see the numbers of the jerseys. I've heard "that's football" so many times it's pathetic. Players wanted to postpone the game because it was just a matter of who could hold the ball and slide the farthest. It was nothing but an injury waiting to happen. And there were several because of the mud. At some point someone should have stepped up and postponed some of those games. Those fields won't heal until spring thaw.
  19. Agreed. But back to an earlier question...how far do you go with it? Do you report it to an administrator/athletic director? Most of the time coaches are teachers. I know of a case where a teacher/coach made serious "motivational comments" to players and it was reported. (LBBC you may know of this personally) What do you do when you report these kinds of cases and basically nothing is done? What do you do when you are not satified with the actions of the administration?
  20. 5000 yards is an impressive number ,no matter were or who was blocking for him.
  21. I doubled checked on this: #61 Kyle Pettit, junior at PC has attended three Michigan Wolverine football games by invitation and from what I understand is going back this weekend.
