  1. Down on the farm tonight, the Bats defeat Scranton 3-0. Matt Maloney pitches seven innings of four hit ball. 10 K's and 1BB. The big lefty improves to 3-1 on the year and now has a 2.89 ERA. At the plate, Drew Stubbs went 1-3, average now up to .329. He also has 11SB's to lead the Team.
  2. Almost posted, glad I kept reading your post. You are right, in that situation after the sac bunt didn't get put down, Bruse isn't up there trying to place the ball. His job there is to see a good pitch and drill it.
  3. Not sure who will win the award, but in my opinion Maile is the best player in the State.
  4. One of my all time favorites, but he's starting to change my views, I voted yes.
  5. Or between 5/09 and 5/20?
  6. I'll go out on a limb and say, John Wall will decide by the 20th of May.
  7. The Reds are now 4-8 at home and 10-5 on the road. The Braves and Phillies are the only other Teams in Baseball who also are below .500 at home and above .500 on the road. Anyone have a theroy on why this occurs?
  8. Miller should be fine, but nothing's a given as far as who starts. Coach probably doesn't even know that yet.
  9. MLB-Reds NFL-Bengals NBA-Who ever the Lakers are playing
  10. I think I know what Dusty's doing, he wants to have a left handed bat off the bench late in the game. He doesn't have the confidence in Dickerson as a late game pinch hitter, so he keeps Nix in his pocket. Do I agree with this? No
  11. Yes I did. But that doesn't mean I have to comment on anything I watched. I hope Mr. Bledsoe stays at UK and gets a wonderful education.
  12. I don't believe Wall is coming to Kentucky. Do I hope I'm wrong? Yes.
  13. Nice, let's start bashing the kid for the way he speaks. Some people just flat out amaze me.
  14. Picks UK over Memphis, UC, UF, and a few others. Ask what his deciding factor was, Bledsoe's response was, Coach said I would be the starting PG. I don't think Wall's coming to UK.
  15. I didn't wanna say it. As far as Votto getting a day off, the Cards come to town this weekend, and the Brewers come in for two tomorrow and thursday. I say give him tomorrow off and Hernandez plays 1st. Arroyo going tomorrow means Hanigan catches anyway.
  16. Sounds like some Reds fans sitting real close to the booth, their pretty funny.
  17. Not to mention, not many first place Teams trade good players to Teams trying to catch them.
  18. I believe this is the part that some don't understand. It's not just a change from a few years ago, it goes way back. Most of the Holmes folks will agree with this. It's just been something attached to Holmes for many years, all the negative stereotypes and silly joking and ribbings us Holmes fans have heard over the years. After awhile you just learned to laugh it off and ignore most of it. When a call went against Elliott Co. on saturday morning and 18 of the 19 thousand fans booed, it was no surprise really, just normal for Holmes. As a fan who has tried to follow Holmes as much as I could over the years, I knew there was something different about Holmes in 2008. I could not believe how disciplined they were on the court. Honestly, even back in the glory days 78, 79, 80's I didn't remember those Teams being so disciplined. When I said I noticed something different last year, I had no idea that Holmes could be playing in the State Championship game. Not only were they different, they were/are special as well. And even though they lost to a great Mason Co. Team, they made us fans proud. In 2009 they had that target on their back from day one and were able to do something that takes talent, Coaching, and lots of discipline. So yes, for this Holmes fan, this kind of news gives me cold chills. Coach Henley, what else can you say? He has meant so much to the Holmes Community.
  19. I also like the part in the article where Dusty says, "I ain't no front-runner". We know that Dusty and if you keep making out line-ups like you have, this Team may never be front-runners.
  20. Dusty doesn't care what the fans think. MIAMI -- Manager Dusty Baker has heard that a number of Reds fans are clamoring for Laynce Nix to become a regular in the club's outfield. He is unmoved. "The fans don't make out the lineup," Baker said without hesitation. http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090504&content_id=4555156&vkey=news_cin&fext=.jsp&c_id=cin
  21. That was during the off season, no way the Yanks trade Swisher now, I don't think.
