How Holmes lost the state championship in 1978
1. Beal was a great high School basketball player. Solid, that's funny. 2. He was a sophomore in 78 when Doug won Mr. basketball. 3. Why bring up race, nothing to do with nothing. Dickey and Doug are both class acts and Dickey even said on icn 6 last week that Doug was the best player to ever play at Holmes. I to watched them both play in high school and college. Dickey clearly meant alot to UK's run to the final 4.

McClendon as well. I would like to see both grow a little, but both will be key factors next year.

Just for fun... How would Boone County have done in the State tournament?
You may be right. However, I was just talking about a BC, EC matchup if they would of played at anytime this year. Boone's size and D would of caused EC Problems imo.

I do think Boone would of given Elliott a very good game and may of beat them.

Your Final State rankings
Didn't have to see the game. Holmes isn't going to score 27 points in the first quarter of every game either, but does that mean Lex. Cath would of won? No. The point is, he was hot, he made the shots, his teammates set screens, they got him the ball. He did was he's supposed to do.

Ok, and...Isn't Middleton a member of the Mason Co. basketball TEAM?

Assists Leader for 9th Region 2009-2010
I said other because I believe Mayfield from Holmes will get alot of PT at the PG position. He is a pass first type player and will be passing to guys such as the Johnson brothers, Pittman and Arnold, all of which can put the ball in the hole.

Favorite teams to watch in Sweet 16 history.....
This is for sure beating a :deadhorse: UK had already recruited Joe Crawford and Bradley, they were rated much higher than Chris. He had a great four years at UT and I'm sure he's happy with the way things turned out.

2009 Holmes... Best NKY team ever?
Wasn't it Dave Derkson who played for Holmes in 78?

Bradley offers Holmes' R. Johnson
I'm pretty sure there isn't any Coaches that silly. What are you trying to get at anyway? Seems your a little bitter about something.

Holmes 67 Central 63 (2OT)
Nice Video toward the bottom of this Lexington Herald article. After watching it, that shot that sent the game into it's 2nd OT was closer than I thought. Clock is actually reading 0:00 when the ball leaves his hands. http://www.kentucky.com/813/story/734986.html

Bradley offers Holmes' R. Johnson
Dom did a decent job on Sanford when he was in, but Rico was in his grill most of the game. Dom only played 13 minutes.

Central or Elliott?
Central had a very good defensive game plan for Holmes. Not taking anything away from Polson, very nice player, but I don't recall Central playing that same zone against WJ.
