Agreed. He may end up an NBA all star, but his rating out of high school doesn’t coincide with what Cal looks for. Best of luck to the young man.

Definitely not ideal but I’m not terribly worried about it. I imagine it’s not too difficult to put a game plan together against UK with Wheeler and Washington out. I’m more concerned with how out of sync they got during the last two minutes when the pressure was turned up and things were going south. They looked like a gigantic middle school team. At the end of the day, they came back from 10 down and grabbed a 15 point lead against a very good defensive team…with two starters out…

That was ugly… A win is a win. It’s nice to see them win these types of games especially while dealing with injuries. I absolutely love how how close this team is. You could see a lot of genuine excitement for Hopkins.

He should be suspended a few games and fined heavily. That’s a dude I want to play for honestly.

I really enjoy watching this group play. They’ve got a lottery pick in Washington, a few shooters and a ton of effort guys. The transfer portal has obviously been good for UK. I said when the NIL stuff got announced that it was a huge deal but the transfer rules would change the game more.

I’m fine with this loss. It’s a reality check. I said the same thing in 2012 when UK took a loss against Vandy in the SEC tournament. Best thing that could have happened to them before the March run. These kids need to understand that the name on the front of the jersey doesn’t guarantee a win.

He’d be a fool not to go if he’s top 10. Too much money at stake to pass up. A few years ago Cal would pushed him towards the draft. A 9 win season may have humbled him a bit though.

I relished every minute of beating them by 30 this year but they really are just a bad team… It’s not going to happen, but I’d love for UK to have the same outcome against UL this season.

He’s probably not the best candidate. I think he ends up being the choice for a variety of reasons though. Unless you’re poaching away an absolute stud, it’s mostly a crapshoot anyway. Most of us thought Mack was a great hire at the time. It didn’t work out for whatever reason. I absolutely could be wrong, I just don’t see UL seriously entertaining Pearl given their current situation. Oats seems like a solid option also. Buyout is tough to swallow though.

I think he’d do great at UL. Not sure they will seriously consider him though. Pearl hasn’t really been the poster child of NCAA compliance. Most other schools wouldn’t bat an eye at this for a coach of his caliber. I’m not sure UL can survive another misstep though. He’s 61 years old. Appears to have plenty of gas left in the tank but who really knows. I’ll go with Payne. Obvious ties to the school. I think UL can get him for a relative bargain. Ties to the NBA. He did wonders with the big men at Kentucky. No head coaching experience seems to be the only downside.

Bruce Pearl has to be option 1. Make him say no. He’d do really well there.

My 66 year old dad tested positive a couple days ago. He’s vaccinated. Had his booster scheduled prior to testing positive. Mild symptoms so far. Body aches and a terrible cough at night that appears to be improving. With that being said, we should stop all this nonsense. No more quarantining. No more testing unless you show symptoms. Coronavirus is not going anywhere. It’s time we learn to live with it. We have a vaccine. Let those of us who choose to get it it move on with life. Let those who choose not to get it deal with the consequences. It’s a personal choice at this point. If another half a million Americans die, so be it. They had a choice.
