Same thoughts here. No way a school with that many kids could be this terrible. I went to one game this season and lost a year or two of my life due to the frustration on watching this team. There has to be talent walking the hall ways at Boyd. There always has been.

:thumb: That's the reason my younger brother is no longer playing basketball or baseball. In the coaches defense though, my little brother actually decided this one on his own. He wanted to start working out with the football team and basketball got in the way of that. I agree with you though, coaches need to learn to share their talent.

I'm not informed enough to comment on the situation at Ashland. I feel that kids are being run off at Boyd. You can't be picky when the numbers and talent are down. I also think many kids are choosing to play one sport now. My little brother for example had played basketball, baseball and football since he was old enough to run. He's now decided to dedicate himself to football. Both programs probably need a complete over haul from top to bottom. I also feel that Boyd has gone through too many coaches lately. No one sticks around long enough to build a program.

I love seeing Zollo putting up nice numbers. I'm going to try to catch one of his games this year, hopefully at Rupp.

I hope he keeps up his hard work :thumb: I asked a few games ago and I'll ask again: Are Zollo's recent numbers a product of weak competition or are things starting to click for the sophomore ? He has to be averaging somewhere around 20 in the last 3-4 games. Congrats to the Cards

Zollo seems to be getting into a groove. Love to see that. He's had two nice games in a row. Has the level of competition dropped off or is he starting to play with a little more aggression ?

Where did you get those rankings from ? I've seen one poll with them at #1 and the announcers also said they were the number one team in the state.

I've watched 3 of Elliot's 4 games in this tournament and every team I've seen them play looks like they should destroy them. That's what I love about EC's team. They are scrappy and will out hustle most teams they play.

Elliot is playing Southside out of South Carolina here in just a few minutes. I've seen them at number 1 in the state of SC in two polls.

Ouch. So they lost the next two ? Or just one of the next two ? Elliot should have won that game...

Off topic, but how is the team from Texas doing that beat EC in the first game ?

Great win for EC. :thumb: I believe Pickering was 24-4 coming into this game and they certainly looked the part of a very good team. Canada has no limit on the amount of games a team plays. They travel to tournaments every weekend and went 70-2 last year per the article I read earlier.

No clue how they have time to practice :lol: The article said they have a 15 person van and pretty much travel to tournaments every weekend. The coach holds bingo tournaments every Thursday to fund the trips.

I really wish someone could find out some more about this Pickering team. They look like a good ball team as far as size and athleticism goes. I'd love to know their rankings but I have no idea how they do that kind of stuff in Canada.
