agreed, slipped by and got the most important win of the entire tournament, the FIRST. Without this win u cant advance. (Just ask Danny Wright and Al Hollon) Good win for June B and a well played game for Jekins, Congrats to both teams and goodluck June B on down the road.

Bottom line on this game is Owls advance in the Distric and will advance on automatically to Region. History repeats itself.

Great Confidence booster for the owls going into the finals....Trey COngelton and Adam McIntosh really seemed to step up on the offense end and Owls defnse picked up on the other end. Seemed the Owls came prepared. Hopefully the Estill and Powellll game will be as exciting as this one. CANT WAIT

No i was at the right game just typed in the wrong total score, thanks. I'm not saying that Breathit isnt a good team but I dont think they are capable of playing around with any team in this regions top 10 and walk away with a victory. No doubt Breathitt is a better team than Owsley , that has been proven twice. But by watching them play a couple times I see them as a definate top 5 but in my top 3, just imo. Maybe i am seeing this wrong, maybe Breathitt is just playing around with everyone and come tournament time they are gonna let the Bobcats' dominate side show, i just havent seen this side yet but the potential may be there.

According to KHSAA.com the lady Owls are now 17-8., just beind Perry22-4, Breathitt 20-5, and Leslie that is 20-5. Congrats to the Lady Owls on the victory and a very sucessful season, Goodluck during tournament time!!!

Why this margin because the coach pulled off the tigers but the younger tigers were just better or ws it because they just kept thumping and thumping? I know sometimes teams just cant help it. But When i see this score I feel for the players who have to got to school the next day and listen to people talk about them getting beat 60.

I dont know how someone would propose this to someone that could put it into action but Proposal 2 sounds as perfect and fair as it can get. Hazard is awful because parking is just straight terrible and seating is a complete hassal. A team a couple of years back couldnt even watch the game before them at Hazard becasue the reserved seats were full of stubborn people who couldnt/wouldnt move. They were placed down stairs nad watchd the game in a room with not enough seats for everyone to sit down. This way each distric gets an equal shot because despite county oppinion, home cooking is done everywhere. This way everyone gets a bite of some good country home cooking every couple of years and maybe gets a piece of the pie(Rupp) while their at it.

At the varsity level I dont know why playing a player because of any other reason than the player in the game is a better player and/or the player in the game is better suited for the position at the current time than the player on the bench is. In high school a senior quit because of me taking his starting position. My coach told both of us at the end of the season the previous year(my 8th gradeyear which i played as 7 or 8th man at the time) that the one that outworked the other was the one that would have a starting position the next year unless someone else overachieved both of us and that the senior was in the lead. This motivation for me lasted all summer, everyday and every practice and camp to work hard and achieve my goal. My coach gave me an oppurtunity despite my age and I jumped on it. I coach now and I believe that if a player outworks another and seems better suited mentally and physically for that position then that player will play. Like my pappy always says, "he can either play or he cant".

After watching Beyond the Glory, Jordan's high school coach went on to validate his decision by saying that Jordan was by far the best Sophomore in the school not just ready or needed at the time on the varsity team.

Who has Breathitt played around with in this region??? Breathitt is 12-3 in the region but Breathitt have only beat 5 different teams in this region over 10pts. They have either been beaten or won under 10 pts in 9 regional games. Without playing Perry or Powell which is 2 of the top five in this region and they have also loss to both June B and Hazard(also beat Hazard) which is the other 2 of the top five teams in this region,imo. I agree. If Hollon wouldnt of been hitting from 3pt line then Breathitt never would of been able to lead at half or pull away at he end. Hollon scored 19 of the 31 to go into the half (four 3's).Hollon was the only one that didnt seem to have trouble scoring since the bal couldn't got o Smith in the middle to set up their usual offense. Breathitt went on runs with and without the press but never could seem to stick the dagger in th heart. The tripple on Smith really bothered Breathitt's inside/out game. Breathitt relied on outside shooting and forced turnovers. If the Owls could of handled the press this game would of been tight. I know in reality the Owls dont have the ballhandlers but the turnovers were the difference in the game. Breathitt forced at least 20 turnovers and only won by 11 pts. Smith hustled but never could see daylight on the offense end but returned the favor on the defensive end. IMO Breathitt is a better team than Owsley but "playing with", i dont believe so.Breathitt didnt play around with Owsley and just walk away with an 11 pt vitory which the lead never got out of reach. Breathitt isnt a power house team that can win a game just by entering the gym. The Owls' player didnt seem to be intimidated at all. Seemed to me that without Hollon's scoring capability Breathitt may have been in trouble:sssh: And tis just may be a problem down the road when it comes tournament time:sssh:

WOW!!!This is crazy, understandable about what happened and how it looked to all spectators. Wished I could of witnessed it, I would have called him during the game just to say hi. At first this sounded crazy but knowing him personally and how this was just one of them times.......lol

Good win for June B to defend the Grady Nutt center after Perry came in and stole one. Good bounce back game and a big statement for them in the upcoming games. I only have one question??? Does Clark Stepp have to get 30+ pts every night for them to win? Seems if he dont score his 30 then June B goes down, but the thing that confuses me is the potential of the team. Good size and good players just no chemistry doesnt usual make sense ina small town. Is it they lose because he take his shots reguadless win or lose or is his 30pts needed for them to win the big games???

Breathitt's size will be the deciding factor because Lee doesnt have a middle. Rebounding should be in Breathitt's favor. Ill take Breathitt by 12----81-69
