bballer1 Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Sexton was absolutely on fire in this one. I believe he was 6 of 7 in the first quarter from the 3. Powell's defense didnt seem to show up like it has through the season. Powell also started a different 5 in the events of senior night which left them down 10 in the first quarter. Powell made a couple runs but it wasnt enough. LCC shot lights out and made free throws when they really counted. Goodluck to both in district play. I think Powell will bounce back from this loss with a win over Estill.
bball king Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Powell now has lost two of three and thier one win in the last three was on a buzzer beaterto be a mediocre Magoffin Co. team. Powell is not playing well right now.Coach will have them playing well for thye tourney
CatchMeIfYouCan Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Surprising score. Nobody could stop Sexton ? Loos like Powell is playing bad at the wrong time in the season.
Bart Fletch Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Wow I did not see this one coming. Good win for LCC.
roosterhead Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 Surprising score. Nobody could stop Sexton ? Loos like Powell is playing bad at the wrong time in the season. You're not giving any credit to LCC for their victory.
bballer1 Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Powell did'nt play like they should of. It seemed that senior night really messed with them, especially the start. Don't forget about Powell though, they'll be ready next week.
The Professor Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 This game surprises me too. I thought Powell would defend their home court better than this. But they did the same thing against Cumberland, lost at home but then beat the Skins in a tournament a few weeks later. Maybe they'll right the ship before next week....Estill won't be an easy game.
