I think lets leave the Owsley/Lee rivalry on the court. This post is getting heated for me and I'm not from either county!! lol. I love High School basketball. Lol. Maybe I need a hobby and not live on this forum.

Where to start with this post....ok. First of all, if they don't tell Lee Co, thats fine. But when they try to decieve thats the childish part. Now for the other thing. To quote your good friend Professor, the fans are not the school officials are they? More than likely kids, huh? I also heard that a sign was taken down before the game according to an Owsley fan...but, sorry that the first amendment allows these kids to bring signs in, but it wasn't the Lee Co admin im sure. Like I posted before, lets read all the posts before posting. I wasn't even at the game last night and I'm sure that it wasn't as bad as EITHER side says, but thats the beauty of fans. If you listen to both sides, about somewhere in the middle lies the truth.

I'm assuming that comment is going out to the Lee County fans only Owlzfan. Look in the mirror. The fact that you would post something like that, taking a "better than thou" approach shows how childish you are saying, between the lines, Owsley Fans are better. Come on. Thats a weak attempt. Maybe this thread should be closed before someone gets too mad again.

Perhaps a nice group hug would do the trick. LOL. I've not heard about the posters though.

Lee beat Powell pretty handily last time right? I think a team is better at home. But I still give the edge to Lee.

I think that Lee County fans have said that they are glad Smith played because now they know what to expect in the districts if they play each other. I don't think they should have called but I think that they were childish in misleading the Lee County people. But, you're right, no difference in the outcome. I wish I was at this game, I would like to have a scouting report on Smith for Friday. GreenMachine, maybe you should read all the posts before posting.

Well, now we know Robert Smith is back and Neeley is playing despite being injured. I still think Estill can win this game because of their post play and shooting abilities. What do you think?

OK, let's settle down. Professor, if you were not at the game, how can you disagree with the fact that LCBF and others say that Neeley and Robert Smith showed up without gear and why would Neeley be "joking" to people about not playing like that. It is a little deceptive but, like I said eailier, it makes no difference. The game is over. Let's move on.

To me it sounds like Owsley's fans are being a little sensitive after their team clearly tried to "pull one" on Lee. Almost as if Lee would freak out when Neeley and Smith came onto the floor. But, I think Lee fans may have went a little to far by calling some of the members here liars. On another point, I heard from some one who was at the game that Smith and Neeley argued a little bit about who was going to bring the ball up and who was going to shoot. Is this true? If so, dosen't bode well for Owsley.

A lot to read in this post. Congratulations first of all to Lee County. I thought Smith wasn't eligable till Friday when we play the Owls. I hope that OC didn't really mislead like everyone says. I hope Neeley didn't lie right before a game. That really saddens me. Let's put this sad episode behind us and move on now. It's a shame that Owsely did this, but, they were looking for an edge against an obviously better Lee County team. Take it as a compliment Lee County fans. I'm glad Smith played. Anyone got a scouting report on Robert Smith? And will Neeleys thumb be better come friday?

Its good that when our district has a legit chance at the region (Lee this year) that fans from other counties can rally behind them. Professor, in my opinion, you are a class act. Its clear that you bleed maroon, but you can also respect a team that has it together and is playing good ball as are the Bobcats.

Sorry Prof, didn't mean to upset you. I really hope its all right, his thumb and all. I'm sure if things get really ugly tomorrow night, Coach Wright will call off the dogs. But, I really hope Owsley is able to be competiive. More fun to watch that way.IMO
