My guess. Bob starts Smith vrs HC and his #3 vrs CCH and uses Elliott as his closer throughout the Districts....but he will not let them get down more then a run or two before he brings in Elliott. If that's the case...it's too close to call.

In other words, it makes no difference how good your outfielders are when your pitching staff gives up bombs and your outfielders have to play inside the fence?

Not really. They started 5 sophmores. The past 2 years they had a juniors and seniors varsity policy since they had so many kids trying out, but they will move kids up from JV. In fact they start a freshmen and a sophmore this year.

It's a different level for those of you who haven't been there before. Ryle has been there the past couple of years and they are the defending Regional Champs, so I like their chances.....Shelby County didn't have a shot with their losing record last year either....someone forgot to tell them.

I would say the Fredel (sp)kid , starting shortstop for the varsity team. Needs some work but will be one to watch.
