Glad I didn't drive all the way out to Dry Ridge tonight. Sounds like the Raiders weren't too into it either.

Credit goes to Grant... they took advantage of Ryle's many mistakes. Ryle pitchers walk 10 batters tonight, You won't win too many doing that!!

Who pitched ?

Renda started and walked five in the first inning and gave up two runs without a hit and gave way to Donovan, Helmer.

Heard the little soph gave up a Grand Salomi...ouch

If you would have told me Renda was pitching tonight, I would have thought chalk one up for the Raiders. Heard Helmer looked good though.

Kelley hit his third Grand Slam of the year for Grant & they made some nice plays.

Congrats to the Braves on a good win.

Not exactly the type of effort or performance you would have hoped to see from Ryle heading into districts. Walks, errors, failure to get down bunts, and pretty unimpressive hitting overall, especially with RISP. For instance, in the 7th inning Ryle puts their first two men on (2B & 3B) and have 5, 6, and 7 hole hitters coming up with no outs. They promptly bloop to 2Bman, strikeout, and ground out to P. Textbook performance on how not to plate a run in that situation.

Wow, I kind of missed this post first time through. Third GRAND SLAM of the year?! That's flat-out impressive. Congrats to this young man. The ball he hit last night was absolutely scorched. I wish Grant would put up a few more distance signs on their OF wall. We were guessing around 375 ft., but a complete guess.

That was third game played at that field & still alot of work to do. Hope more signs are part of it. The ball Kelley hit was smoked. I would say 375 is a very close guess.
