The problem with Holmes is they have had several games that the final score was a little to close for the competition they were playing. Such as the Conner and Seneca games. Also having a close game with Ballard, which Scott Co. beat by 20. Most people would think that Holmes or Elliott Co. should be #1. But on a computer ranking, you never know what will happen. I do believe that Elliott Co. should be ranked #1. To do as well as they did in SC, they should be rewarded. However I am with another poster in that I dont think there is a big difference in any of the top three.

Scott scored 59 points in the second half. SC outrebounded LC 54 to 40. SC shot 50% from the field and from long range. LC shot 38% from the field and 40% from long range. SC got 18 second chance points as LC only had 2. Euton gets a bad wrap because he commited to KY so early. He may not be the most athletic players in the state. But no one will out hustle him.He is also a very good passer. Will he ever be a star on the college level? Probably not. But he is a heck of a high school player.

I read on another board that Anderson really slowed the game down and Scott could never get the pace as fast as they like it. I watched the first half of the Anderson VS. Montgomery the night before and was very suprised to see Anderson in this ballgame in the 4th quarter. And Im not so sure that Anderson was as big or as athletic as Scott Co.. So as far as them struggling against these type of teams, I agree but Im not so sure that is why they struggled against Anderson Co. Does anybody know if Anderson played alot of zone? Scott Co. has had problems attacking the zone.

Scott County lost on a last second shot.Franklin must be pretty good. They have a kid already signed to play at Georgia. By the stats, SC just didnt play good enough defense. Franklin shot 52% from the field. Their defense will dictate how far they go, and right now it doesnt look like that is to far. Scott Co. scoring is as follows. Euton led all scores with 25 points as he hit 7 three pointers. Richie Phares had 21 points and 11 rebounds. Scott County had 13 players score in this game.

Why does every thread have to end up with you writing about how good Holmes is? All Scott Co did was go out and dominate a game where you predicted they would loose.

So he doesnt have to ask. Jackson had 2 turnovers.

Scott County shot 68% from the line. 15/22 Clark Co. shot 46 % from the line. 11/24 GRC went 5/15 in the second quarter. 4/7 in the 3rd and 2/2 in the 4th.

Scott County has a long ways to go before they can be considered a state title contender. This team seems to come out flat every game and has to battle back every game this season. Scott Co. was very lucky to get this game close.If they play like they did tonight they will be 2-5 at the end of the week. You cant beat any team when the shoot almost 50% from long range.On a positive note Scott County did play better defense in the second half. Congrats Holmes.

He is averaging 7 a game. Guyn is averaging 5 a game. Phares is averaging 11 a game Euton is averaging 11 a game What are Holmes rebounding numbers?

Chad Jackson has been turning the ball over alot lately, however he is considered by many to be the best rebounding guard in the state. On most nights he can get just as many rebounds as Euton.

I stated that I was negative about SC. I have stated over and over again that SC will lose some games and they are not so far ahead of other teams in the state. However it will be intersting to see if Holmes can score enough to win the ballgame. As far as biased goes, keep drinking the Holmes Kool Aid. You over hype that team so much that it is almost funny.

No but they are my school and I have had several posts that were I was negative so I thought I would say something positive. I do believe Holmes will have to score at least 75-80 points to beat SC, something they have not done yet this season. But I guess we will find out on Sunday.

One thing stands out. SC shoots poorly for the game and still scores 81. Most any team in the state would take scoring 80 on an off shooting night.

He picked up his fifth foul on a charging call. The TC player was a little to far underneath the basket as one ref called blocking but was overturned by another. Even the announcers called it a bad call. No matter you have to keep your composure. Scott County has also got to be better on defense. TC got alot of easy baskets as they drove past SC aggresive defenders.

This team has along ways to go. Jackson has got to play better for Scott to go anywhere. Still turning the ball over way to much and picked up a technical foul after he fouled out of the ballgame.

Very lucky. In fact they didnt deserve the win. They only shot 30% in the first half. Tates Creek played all zone and it completly confused the cards.
