  1. Yes for me, great grandmother was born in 1897 and passed away in the mid '80's. She lived in the same house from 1930 or so and it still had no indoor plumbing up to the day she died. One phone number from the '60's, a three digit number, when you would call her from next door, where my grandfather lived, it was a long distance call.
  2. The team with the 6th most players in the NFL from the SEC is Tennessee with 26, the Big 10 team with the most in the NFL is Ohio State with 27. That is the talent disparity from the recent years and the reason for the theory that the SEC has been the dominant conference. Has the gap closed, it seems it has...
  3. I would like to see what Ponder can do in the Bronco offense.
  4. I said more talent and it isn't even close, they have 70 more players in the NFL than the second conference the ACC. More talent, better teams and playing more talented teams week to week. Top to bottom a better conference, the SEC has had 4 teams win the National Championship in the last ten years, and not one of those four are: Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Missouri or South Carolina.
  5. The people who make a living evaluating talent believe that the article is bogus and that the SEC heads and shoulders better and more talented......NFL teams Breaking down NFL rosters by conferences and colleges - Pac-12 Blog- ESPN
  6. I think having to really good Qbs and not truly committing to one causes problems because they are completely different in style ability. I am going off of memory, but didn't they have two totally different packages and offensive styles for each one? I could be mis-remembering though...
  7. Disagree about his best, probably his worst to play for the title.
  8. I don't know but if I had to guess, no. If they had, they still had a choice to not say anything.
  9. Wait a minute, Wabash and Hanover are two different schools....
  10. I can only guess that OSU felt that they needed the extra blocker you gain from having the QB running the ball because they were getting out manned upfront. Meyer has said that Elliott is the best blocking running back he has ever seen, maybe they felt that was the best way to utilize him.
  11. They were obviously idiots that didn't realize Mullen was with URB since Meyer took his first head coaching job at Bowling Green and was on staff at ND with Meyer also. Mullen is/was a huge influence of that offense.
  12. The locker room is where you get it out in the open...doing it in the media is like complaining about your boss in the break room, then he walks in and you offer him some of your lunch... It has zero to do with whether he is right about it or not.
  13. Hmmmm, wonder why someone feels the need to be on a Ky thread, talking about UK football...
  14. No, since it is a major utility, they will just throw them in the dumpster if they no longer needed....then it is finders keepers for us....
  15. I think I am going to leave NKY and head to the Male/Trinity game.
  16. No doubt, but I think it might be worth it to send a message. Just rotate who is going to be the enforcer during the regular season. A team could also be physical when on offense and make it look a little more subtle. Make Curry fight through screens and drive at him-drive right thru his chest- and make the ref call a charge, but hammer him while driving the ball to the basket. I think it might be a more subtle way than knocking him down when he is offense. "Curry Rules"
  17. I have a 18volt 1/2" drive Milwaukee cordless impact at home and at my work, also at work we have a good variety of 1/2 drive air impacts. The cordless impact has more torque and all around kicks the crap out of every impact we have, no matter what adjustment you try to make. We are phasing out all air impacts(no longer repairing them), and going the cordless route. These are also used by our garage that works on tractor trailers all the way down to electric vehicles.
