It is a easy answer Boone County, four times they lost in the title game, 1986, 1987, 1992, and 1994. I think Shelby County is often overlooked, they did win once it and lost a couple of other times. You have to look past the recent years and see how teams winning a title or two would have in the 80's would have propelled them going forward. The Head Coach Bob Lewis came from Wyoming high school in Ohio were he also won state titles. He retires from Conner after the 85 season and they hire a coach know where near the caliber of Lewis and the tailspin begins until Tom Stellman grabbed the controls. Lewis had them on top of the mountain, if he would have stayed on for the next five years it would been interesting to see where the program would have gone. During that time the population in the Hebron area was just beginning its boom and a perennial power would have kept and attracted more people to the school. Then once the school grew to be a 4a school they could have transitioned right into being on of the top teams. Dixie) Dixie for several years on under Tom Spritzky had some extremely talented teams. Unfortunately they seemed to always run into Trinity and their season would end. Of course one year they did beat them. I think they are the only school from NKY that has ever done that. But with Trinity out of their way they just might have a title or two. Also, if they would have even made it to the finals, SK might still be everyone's favorite Homecoming team to schedule, thanks to open enrollment in Kenton County.

Thanks, I was looking at the roster on KHSAA. From what i have heard, Beechwood usually does not move freshman up until their season is over, so he must be really good. I look forward to seeing him play.

I am not floating anything. The back up came off the bench and went 14/18 in the win over CCH. Unless I am missing something, LC doesnt have one D1 qb. Maybe there is an offer out there I am not aware of for Legend.

Yep, but they are playing Ryle. Outside of maybe Morgan and that is a big maybe, name a skill player from Ryle that starts for Bryan Station. Love it, careers over but you have to keep that dead ball personal foul streak going...

The running backs parents have to blame somebody.

I won't go as far and say that every coach that does not give the control to his Qb should be fired...but I would love to hear why the coach can't coach his guy well enough to take on that responsibility. An extremely small amount of Qbs lack the ability to be able process what they need to know. I am glad that Tanner has that freedom to make those decisions. Having that responsibility helps him to grow and develop his leadership skills that will help him the rest of his life on and off the field.
