No one is blaming the coaching staff. But there are things that we probably didnt go over in practice that Rock did. We were doing the same old things after halftime- wouldnt you change something. Ashland might be the best team in our district but not in the region. "Bend dont break"- way to go Peg.

Where is the Newport/Russell game played at? Congrats to Russell, I had to listen to that game while I was at the Ashland game due to Ashland being blown out. Sounded like you all put it on them. Good luck the rest of the way!!!!!!!!!!

Now I dont usually disagree with you but on this one I will. Year in and out they have the teams in there. 3 out of the last 4 or 5 years Rock and Bell have put us out. Dont really know before that though.

All around best Ashland tomcat I have seen in my 15 + years as a player and a fan. Now that means on and off the football field.The best thing I like about Ian is his grades. Your the man Ian!!!!!!!!!

Well our bend dont break defense broke tonight. They run the ball and threw the ball at will. Seemed like we didnt know what we were doing. Now our o-line wasnt there at all. Ian had no time to pass the ball. On both of our touchdowns the defense slipped and fell. We got out coached tonight. I remember at the start of the year hart said that he wouldnt expect anything less then for us to be in the region finals this year- Well coach now what? Congrats to a very good Rock team.

Now I wouldnt go that far. At times we think that the only teams that beat us are state championship teams. They may very well but they have a way to go.

What does everyone think happened? ( besides us losing)

A couple of times this year Russell has got off to a slow start but the teams they are playing when that happened were out maned. At this time of the year the teams that are playing one another are very good and Russell cant fall behing early. I think that Mercer has more team speed and they also dont throw the play well at all. But if they get that wing t going its hard to stop. Thats the key to this game - russell's running game vs Merscer's run stopping. Who ever wins this wins the game.

It doesnt matter what you do because it doesnt bother me. It just amazes me how serious some people on here are about things. Mercer Co. 35 Russell 6 I did some more research.

If me picking Russell to lose " stirs things up" then thats on you. I picked Russell to win at first then changed my mind after looking into Mercer Co.
