  1. The play that he was injured on is one that you won't see too many kids making around here. He was way up when he blocked that shot. Just glad that he wasn't hurt any worse than it turned out to be.
  2. What happened that Clemmons only had 2 points?
  3. I hate to see that Colt Barnhill didn't make the all tourney team. He had two very nice games and was left out. I think the big turnaround in the game came when he got hurt in the third quarter. Both teams played well and congratulations to Elliott on the district championship
  4. I think that there are a fair number of players in the 16th Region that can be really good. I just don't get caught up in the hype of Euton like a lot of other people do. Its not really a knock on the kid, I just don't see what other people see I guess. I would prefer Jackson over Euton any day of the week. As far as the big man thing goes I think that in a couple of years there are a couple around that will definitely open some eyes by the time they are seniors.
  5. Does anyone know what time the doors open tomorrow night?
  6. If you were impressed by a 6'8" guy dunking then it doesn't take much does it. Dakotah is a great shooter that really doesn't like to play down low. He wanted absolutely nothing to do with Selby down low the other night and I was amazed at him getting his shots blocked by kids that were 6 or 7 inches shorter. He is a great shooter but athleticism is something that can't be taught.
  7. The game I was at Rio Grande was there watching him and some people from Rowan County said that they were the only school really looking at him. Thats what I was going by.
  8. What size do they have to be before you actually consider them a big guy? Just curious as to how you look at this.
  9. Pettit is a senior and I think that Rio Grande was looking at him. Selby is only as good as the defense will let him be. The two times that he played against East Carter he was completely shut down. The last time he had six points and four rebounds so I would say that the Barnhill kid gets the nod over him since he is the one that shut him down. Colt also had two big games on Pettit and since he is only a sophomore he definitely has a very high ceiling.
  10. That says alot coming from the person that started this poll. Fairview was early in the season and I think that was straightened out on Friday night. East just played a terrible game against a decent Raceland team. It was just like Elliott played a terrible game against a decent Rose Hill team.
  11. Guess that drops Rose Hill down to about sixth.
  12. If East plays like they are capable they can beat anyone in the region. As far as Elliott they are not unbeatable but they are by far the best team in the region. Rose Hill is just another good team that can be beat on any given night as they are far from unbeatable. They caught Elliott on a terrible night. If Elliott shot 35% from the floor that game they beat them by 20.
  13. It looked like the Raceland game was a wake up call for East Carter. They came out tonight and really looked like a different team. They stepped it up big time on the defensive end. If they would have been making shots this one could have got ugly.
  14. East outrebounded Boyd 39 to 14 and they shot 61% from the floor to Boyd's 38%. I agree that it was terrible officiating both ways but it had absolutely no effect on the outcome.
  15. After having the privilege of watching Rose Hill play Lee Co. yesteday I think I will take Elliott Co. by 30.
  16. On the radio after the game they said that Johnson had 25 points and Barnhill had 12 points and 15 rebounds.
  17. The Barnhill kid would definitely have to be on that list. I've seen him play a few times this year and the kid is a beast.
  18. East was clearly the better of the two teams. I think a lot of West Carters shooting problems came from a pretty good pressure defense that was put on them. This game probably wouldn't have been as close as it was if the Barnhill kid would not have been in foul trouble. Everytime I have seen them play this year and Joe Coldiron is officiating it seems like he has a personal vendetta against this kid.
