This proves you cant judge a teams whole year by their first game. Ashland is a completely different team now than week one in my opinion. The running game is really setting the tone and controling the flow of their games. Keep it rollin CATS!!!

JC by a pretty large margin. JC-42 LC-14

Matt has really stepped it up this year, he is starting to lower his head and plow people. The o-line has also stepped it up by opening some holes for Matt to use his breakaway speed. The CATS really seem to be clickin lets keep it up!

This game is starting to become a rivalry with all the things that have happened in the last few years between the two teams. Im pullin for the Tomcats in this one. Expect a physical game come friday night. Ashland-35 Pburg-14 Nothing against the Blackcats but i dont forsee them handling Ashland's developing running game.

Keep it rollin TOMCATS!!!

All ive got to say is, BOOM BABY!!

Yea, that shows exactly how much class Russell has, NONE.

OLD DUMP? Putnum Stadium has been home of the Tomcats for 70 years, there is more tradition in that stadium than any other around. That is a huge insult and a ridiculus comment. Putnum Stadium is far from being an "old dump". and about the game being moved, this decision was obviously not made by the players because they cant wait to tear into the devils! :flame:

I heard from an Ashland player that this belfry team was the most polite group of guys they've ever played. no trash talking, and they would help you up after the play and tell you good job. They even wished the cats luck in OT. Congrats on the Tomcat win, great bounce back from last weeks performance, and hats off to Belfry and I wish the best of luck to them this season.

He should be back for Russell. He can start practice 50% starting wed. i believe, the rest depends on how his back feels.

Ironton was a very physical football team. imo the Tomcats held pretty well and improved greatly this week. This scrimmage was good preparation for their first season opponent, Raceland who runs a similar defense as the Tigers.
