Xman85, You are absolutely right! It's not fair to chastise the posters with class on this board for the posts and statements of those who lack class. Those you mentioned above are all class acts. Not only do they support Trinity, but have repeatedly and publicly been in support of St. X, Holy Cross and De Sales on this board. I know it’s hard for some to accept, but there is enough room in Kentucky High School Football for, two, top notch, 4A, soon to be 6A, private school programs. It’s JMO, but, if you have to try to make your program look better by downgrading your competition, it speaks very poorly of you as an individual, not the program you are trying to make look better. Some people might be naive enough to buy in to what you are selling, rather than looking at the program itself and allowing it to stand on its own merit; but not me. Fortunately, because of my life long dedication to the Catholic Church, I know what foundation Trinity was built on. What is stated on the Trinity web site sums it up, “To provide students with a superior high school education in a supportive atmosphere based upon Christian values in the Catholic tradition.” Someone please explain to me how the posts and statements of posters on this board, NOT mentioned above, and you know who you are, fulfill this statement. It’s probably because I graduated from another one of our other all male Catholic High Schools other than X or T, but I have always said to all my Trinity friends that I will root for you, until you play St. X, because my son plays for St. X. If he played for Trinity it would be the other way around. Bottom Line: It should be both of our missions to be as good as we can be to attract as many kids as possible to our respective programs. We all need to be ambassadors; not lambasters. Treat others the way you want to be treated! GO ROCKS!

Trinity alum, Is there another thread about the Ballard Vs. Trinity 2nd round playoff game I am unaware of? As of 11:08 PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2006, this is the results of this thread of posters that are, as you put it, "predicting huge Trinity blowouts". It doesn't support your statement. So I must have missed the other thread, because this looks pretty even to me. It's JMO, but I think the fact that there hasn't been a post in this thread in almost 48 hours, coupled with the fact that there is a little over 48 hours until kickoff with out a post, speaks volumes. No one else sees this as a big game. If they did there would be more posting in this thread. That being said, you have to admit that Ballard hasn't offered much in the way of competition the last several years when playing Trinity. Manual has.......year in and year out.......even in a year when everybody picked them to be 5th or 6th in their district they put up some impressive wins and finished number 3. As for the word :mad: "cakewalk" :mad: , I don't like it, everyone knows that anything can happen, to any given team, at any given moment, in any given game, on any given night. Look what happened to Manual last weekend loosing their 1st and 2nd string QB to injuries in the same series in the 3rd Quarter. What if that happened to Trinity? IT CAN HAPPEN. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. Thanks for the detail H. I'm glad to here the field has improved since the Manual game. Of course it wouldn't take much since we gat a bazillion inches of rain that week. This should help both Male's and X's Mr. Football candidates improve their respective statistics. FYI. "Bermuda and Zoysia are kissing cousins. They both go dormant and turn brown at first frost. Both are Warm Season Grasses. There is very little difference in root structure and blade texture. Both provide a deep lush carpet like appearance". Bama L - I'm with you on the no injuries thing. By the way, you'd make a pretty good politician. You answered the question without answering the question. H said, in an earlier post, in another thread, after the Manual game, that the field got tore up pretty bad between the hash marks from end zone to end zone. Does this mean it's all dirt now or did the grass have an opportunity to recover before the cold weather set in? That Zoysia Grass doesn't like cold weather ya know.:confused: Did the PRP game last week do further damage to the turf? Will it be a fast track or slow? :lol:

H, The pixs in the CJ on Saturday morning didn't show the field being that bad. They didn't have much mud on them. Either the field wasn't as bad as Manual or they were taken in the very early seconds of the first quarter.

I understand history plays a big part in your statement here Ram2003. I for one very much respect your position. But after seeing that field Friday night against Butler; which during warm ups looked more like Taylorsville Lake than a Football Field, watching at least 500 to 600lbs of the field walk out of the stadium on the players helmets, pants, jerseys, socks and in their cleats, not being able to see the yard lines on the field, having to squint real hard to even make out the gianormous "M" that is normally unmistakable at mid-field, hearing the PA announcer say, "Tackle made by Corey O'Daniel.......but I've been wrong before", because he couldn't read the number on the players jersey. IT'S A NO-BRAINER! You go to the PIZZA BOX!.

Not all the way thru the District, but all the way thru the 3 teams involved in the 3-way tie. Once the 3 tied team seedings are determined it reverts back to district record. Unless there is a tie there.....Let's not even go there. Attempted explanation: If I am reading this correctly, 1. You look at all the other teams you played during the regular season (excluding those teams involved in the tie). 2. You narrow that down to only the teams you beat. 3. You assign a point value to those teams based on how many wins they had during their season. (i.e. They have 6 wins = you get 6 pts.) 4. You then get to choose the 4 teams, who, when added together, give you the highest point total. 5. Whichever team involved in the tie has the highest point total becomes the No. 1 seed, 2nd highest is the No. 2 seed, and so on.

I looked for a retraction on line @ CourierJournal.com and could not find it, apparently the CJ doesn't print their retractions/corrections on their web page. I located a print version here at work and found it on page A2 with all their other corrections. It Reads: "District Football Title Because of incorrect information from the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, a high school notebook yesterday in Sports erroneously said that Male had already clinched the Class 4-A, District 4 football title."

H, According to an E-mail reply I just got back from the CJ High School Sports Reporter who wrote the article in today's paper, the KHSAA is the one who got it wrong. He agreed with me (See my post #36 in this thread). He said, "The KHSAA made the same mistake I did because they have Male listed as the district winner in the standings on their Web site". He new about the the tie breaker rule and completely forgot about it. He is planning on printing a retraction in tomorrow's CJ Edition. Thus he confirmed that IF Manual beats Male it would move X to the top as the #1 seed based on stength of schedule. Sorry to all my Male friends out their, but all I can say is: :dancingpa GO RAMS!:dancingpa
