At this point of the season, Who is the top team in the 9th region?? Covington Catholic, Holmes, or is it Undefeated Highlands???

I have heard the term used so much by Kenton County schools, talking of Beechwood, I was wondering who was the original "cake eaters'??

I would have to say that Brewer is the best , he's the full package. He can shoot(jump shots, or three pointers), post up, drive and dribble, and make nice passes, and he is a real physical player box out, rebound, and block shots. The real deal The "ARK".

Troy McKinley from Simon Kenton was one of the greats he could really shoot and he really picked his game up at the "Sweet Sixteen" tournament, the year they won it (1981) I believe. Mckinley went on to play at UK!!

Agree with you h.s.sportsbest, I just wanted to see how everyone else felt about the wildcats coaching.

Justin Doleman from Ryle was pretty good and is now playing well for Xavier.

What about Dave Cowens, he played for New Cath back in the 60's. Then went on and played for the Boston Celtics!!

John Turner from Newport back in the days was a pioneer for high school basketball. Went on and played for Louisville and took the Cardinals to the final four.

Most definetly a sign of a true champion, Mason County really out played the Defending State Champs for three periods, But South Laurel prevailed and are still undefeated against Ky.teams!!!

Most definetly, I seen him play one night he had 56 points, that was before the three point shot, and most of shots would have been three pointers!!!!

I went to a Cov Cath game, and their "Student Body Fan Club" was unbelievable, they're kind of like the Sixth man, its really great and more schools should have the same school pride. But there is no way there should be profanity or anything distasteful going on at these games. The administation from each school needs to warn the student body, That they could suffer punishment after all these games.
