I would say South Laurel and Shelby Co. still have the best chance to win the state tournament. Reason being you ask? Look at their regions. These two are virtual locks to be at Rupp, when others have a war on their hands just to get there. These two would have to be the "safest" picks.

Rison only has one kid back out of his top 8-9, yet somehow has won 11 games this year. Granted he hasn't played a Pendleton Co. schedule though. The true grade for Coach Biggs will come next season when he loses almost everything, barring he doesn't leave for another school.

They went 2 and out at Lex Cath in the 5/3.

Next year will be his real test to see if he stays at PC.

On the average I would agree, but this year I think its PC, MC and BB vs. Holmes, Cov Cath, and Holy Cross. The rest you can throw in a hat and toss around. I give the 10th the nod the past 2 seasons though.

Don't forget about Novosel at Lex Cath either, a sophomore. The Lex Cath future looks bright!

Can't argue with the Mason Co teams of the early 2000's as if they could beat the top team in 9th thats for sure.

They also didn't make the regional last year after winning at Cov Cath in the final month of the season.

Don't worry people, Brossart will defeat Scott and you won't have to worry about pulling a pill out of a hat.
