Brossart didn't beat Dixie in any quarter. I was there and after reading your post I confirmed with others and again we have no idea when Brossart ever "beat" Dixie in a quarter. Either way, its June, both squads looked pretty good for it being this early. Obviously there was some rust, but it was nice to see both teams being very aggressive and not afraid to battle down low. Cooper. if able to control the constant elbow swings and everything else, will be a force to be reckoned with.

Not true, Dixie outscored them every quarter. Dixie beat them by 2 in the first and third quarters (the game only lasted 3 quarters) and the second quarter Dixie won 18-3. Brossart started their jv in the 2nd quarter with Dixie mixing in a few jv and varsity guys together. Dixie jumped out 8-0 on them and then they brought in the varsity, in which Dixie's varsity and Brossart's varsity finished out the quarter and Dixie's varsity beat them 10-3, not counting the previous 8 points. Cooper (the center for Brossart) had 7-8 fouls in only 3 quarters and a handful of them were offensive because of his elbow swinging and just shoving people. To say the varsity squads were even would not be true....

Matt's strengths are as a true point guard. Dishes the ball very well and breaks people down off the dribble...

I also didn't say Richardson or Shields would be the best players but that didn't seem to matter to you that I never said that... they very well COULD like you said be the best players this coming season, but there are also others on the team that COULD be, but the average "fan" that isn't associated with the program would not know about them to much.

Show me ONE time where I said either one of those two will be the best players? Oh yeah, I didn't say that. You said from the 7 games you saw, Lubrano was the only junior to get significant playing time. Enlighten me on the 7 games you saw.... and also, I said I am not sure if Eflin Tyler is the best player quite yet, but apparently since you know SO MUCH about Dixie basketball and who is playing/how each player looks right now, please inform me on the "key" players for next year. Since only Lawson and Keener did anything for them last year according to you, I am sure you have a new two for this year.

TJ Richardson and Jared Shields (until getting hurt) both played big minutes last year and key roles.... Yes Eflin Tyler is who you are speaking of and he is a very good player. I assume he will play a lot, may even get the chance to start, but I'm not sure if he is the best player quite yet...

Man one thing I have learned about you is you almost ALWAYS mention Lawson and Keener... yea they were both very good players and are key losses, but obviously you don't know enough about the Dixie program and who is playing. Their junior (going to be senior) class is good, although most people don't realize it. Coach Chevy was VERY big into playing the seniors last year the majority of the minutes, but Kevin Lubrano, TJ Richardson and Jared Shields who are all apart of the junior class saw significant playing time. Matt Mosier (recovering from a torn acl from football season) will be back and Jon Simpson is another going to be senior who will surprise people. Dixie will be good, you will see and so will all the other doubters, fact is, I believe they will be better than this years past team. Also, Goldenboy, Justin Cole was a senior.

Dixie Heights will surprise many, many people next year... just wait and see

I believe when Nichols came out of the game Dixie was winning 4-2, then Dixie brought Strong in. I don't think Strong came out until it was 11-4, his stuff just didn't seem like it was there last night. Dixie scored a few late runs, I thought the final score was 14-6, but I could be wrong.

Heard Dixie started a few kids that had not started yet and had either not seen a lot of playing time or had not played at all.... could have been a key reason Dixie made a lot of errors and couldn't hit the ball very well.

Dixie wins... was anyone at the game? Also since no one posted Dixie's other win this week, they also beat NCC 1-0 behind a complete game by Jeff Strong...

Well it sure looked like the roller coaster so I guess I should apologize for assuming... no, and I have NEVER heard anyone else chant WE ARE AWESOME besides CCH, maybe you have, but I sure haven't... and apparently none of the Dixie students have either, hence the "You're not Cov Cath" chant right back at them..

Yea, I have a thought... How about getting some of your own chants? You guys got a lot of the things you did from Cov Cath (ex: WE ARE AWESOME chant, the Roller Coaster at halftime) no offense, but if you are going to ask about your cheering section, make sure you guys have some of your OWN cheers next time...

Dixie's basketball t-shirts for this year explain this game about as perfect as you can and fballstud hit it almost right on the head. Dixie's shirt reads "Hard-Work beats Talent when Talent doesn't work hard. :thumb: Seems to fit perfectly I think.

Baseball and basketball are two VERY VERY different sports... on any given night the Tampa Bay Devil Rays can beat the White Sox, Yankees, Red Sox, etc.. but in basketball this just isn't the case, as I would venture to say that if Heritage played Holmes 100 times Holmes would beat them 100 times.... I saw Penick against Dixie and he seemed very over-rated, if you are 6'9'' there is no need to hang out on the perimeter against 6'1 6'2 and 6'3 guys.. they keep it within 10-15 if he plays inside all night, if not, say goodnight in the first quarter...

I would not call it a huge upset....

Kevin Hurtt, Ryan Brown, Phil Schambach.... only one? :confused:

First off, Seth Blevins played against Dixie the first time around and Dixie played without Lawson and Dixie still won.... and second, just because Scott beat Dixie twice does not mean they are better than them NOW at this point of the season, thats like saying Louisville Desales is better than South Laurel just because they beat them.... Scott is worn down at this point of the year and it shows bad, I would Dixie by 10 in a matchup against Scott right now...

I thought it was absolutely hilarious that earlier in the year people were saying that Austin Hill was not quick and did not "create" matchup problems.... those people are probably really wondering about their knowledge of the game right now, or lack there of.

Quite ridiculous..... for a positive note for Holmes.. I heard Austin Hill had another good game and might have finished with over 30 for the 3rd time this week (someone who was there please fill us in or give us some game stats)

Pretty sure NCH won 100-68.... OJ Mayo did not play and also Keenan Ellis didn't play and wasn't even sitting on the bench (anyone know why)... but Bill Walker I believe had 50 points and 25 rebounds :eek:

Dixie was down 6 going into the 4th quarter... but Holmes blew it wide open with causing turnovers and poor shooting from Dixie... game a lot closer than the score indicates.
