  1. Any given night any team can win especially if on is not ready to play. Like at the Deming/St.Pat game. Everyone thought the Devils would win hands down. The Saints had other ideas. So you have to be ready.
  2. Depends also on who's ready to play. The Saints wanted it more.
  3. It took a good team to beat a good team. Close game back and forth in the final minutes. Deming finally broke out to a 5pt lead, Polar Bears clawed back into it and Kyle King hit the turn around basket at 2.3 and that iced it(no Pun intended to our Bracken County neighbors) for the Devils. I have to give props to the Bracken County shooters it seemed everytime they launched a 3pointer they connected. Good effort by both teams.
  4. Anyone from Augusta know the status of the Augusta Jv player that got hurt? Is he alright?
  5. Pretty much by people in the know say Carmack is out for the season. Big Blow to the Deming program.
  6. This game was ughly to say the least pretty much even in the first half with Augusta in lead at halftime by 1. I give props to Jonanthen Polosky and Calvin Schalch came and scored 14pts apiece, Polosky kept us in it in the first half and Schalch kept fire some shots and helped the Devils to win, good to see everybody contributed to help out. Kyle King had 19pt.s and Luke King had 18pts. Give props to Gibbs kid he came in off the bench to some 3's and had 18 on the night for Augusta.
  7. Anyone else pumped for this season to start? I am. Dec1 Deming opens against Augusta at A-Town.
  8. Haven't heard this yet. If it is true it's a blow to the team and to her she was so looking forward to playing this year. The good thing is she is young has a few more years to play. Wish a speedy recovery to you Kelsey.:dancingpa
  9. Have to agree with you there after the starting 5 are out there the whole game if someone , god forbid, gets injured(like Kelsy Carmack last season) or fouls out, it could be a long season for the Lady Devils.
  10. Mitchell, Carmack, Fryman were together when they won the 10th region Freshman Championship couple years ago so hopefully they could repeat as varsity players.
  11. We open the season at Bourbon County Nov. 30. Then it's to the Bracken County Tip-Off Tournament Dec4-5. Home for 3 games against Augusta on Dec7, then Lewis County Dec10, and Nicholas County Dec 12. Dec 19-23 we play in the Grant County Tournament. Dec 30 home against Lynn Camp. Pendleton County at Falmouth Jan 4. Home against St. Patrick Jan 7. Nicholas County in Carlisle Jan 9. Jan 12-16 Class A Tournament at Bracken County. Home for 4 games: Jan 19 Harrison County Jan 23 Bethlehem Jan 28 Gallatin County Jan 30 Augusta Feb 1 at Mason County. Home against Sayre Feb 6. Away for 2 games against Bath County Feb 8 and Feb 11 West Carter. Back home Feb13 vs Fleming County. Last road game against Clark County Feb 15. Last Home game Feb19 vs Bracken County. Proable Starters: Kelsia Fryman, good shooter, handles the ball well. Kelsia Carmack, Had a season ending knee injury last year, she's raring to go this season. Jessica Mitchell, Felshia Fryman. Mary Case. That's as I see it.
