  1. Sorry I meant the All 'A'. I was curious where the 10th was being held though.
  2. Anybody got details of where tourney is this year, teams, and game times?
  3. Morgan beaten by Fleming in semi-final. #1 seed in their pool though.
  4. Harrison beats Montgomery in the semi-finals and Fleming in finals to win tourney. Harrison has been in the finals all 4 years they have entered winning twice.
  5. I agree. 4 starters back. Jett back after acl tear. No bench though. The next year is when they move to the bottom of the pack losing 4 senior starters.
  6. She mentioned Transy, Shawnee St., and Ky. St. to me. I don't know who has offered and who is interested though. Could be other teams in the mix also.
  7. Talked to her mother last week. She is trying to decide between bb and softball. Several small schools interested.
  8. A shame but true. At this point Bracken, Nicholas, and Paris have some of the best talent in the region. You just don't know who will end up at the private schools.
  9. I was talking mostly about All A, where they could be a contender for the region. Just don't see Nicholas as a contender state wide though.
  10. Sorry, but I would be shocked if they would contend for the state title whoever is named coach. We have played them on all levels just don't see that kind of talent. Would be lucky to get past Paris, Brossart, and Bracken in the region.
  11. Great coach. Took for the most part avg. to less than avg. talent, and made them competitive every year. Some years even top tier of region. Must have wanted someone who could recruit.
  12. I don't think you can take that in college. Usually at a hospital or tech school. Could get some general studies though.
  13. Bracken? They were 10-15, didn't beat anybody that was any good (were blown out in most of those games), even if they have some good young players they have to be a couple of years away.
  14. Sorry, I went to Russell and played football, basketball, and ran track. I don't live in the 16th, but in the 10th. I'm not saying Fortman isn't a nice player, but obviously around the state their is a certain prejudice against the private schools. I just find it hard to believe the all time rebounder and scorer in the 16th isn't POY. I don't have a dog in the fight my daughter played in the 10th, graduated last year, and plays in college. I have coached high school sports for 24 years, and do feel I have a handle on the situation.
  15. Stats aside, I have seen both girls play several times, I just like the way Queen plays. She runs the floor like a guard and is a demon on the boards. She plays 110% all the time without an attitude. She's my pick!
  16. Kind of surprised Queen didn't win with the year and career she had. Honestly never saw Fortman play, but she must be a heck of a player to beat out the all time leading scorer and rebounder in the 16th Region. Congrats from a former Red Devil to Miss Fortman. Good luck to Emily and the girls from RH.
  17. Good luck to Maggie and to Montgomery or who ever represents the 10th.
  18. When you hype somebody on the board, you take the good and the bad. I have no dog in the fight. Just my personal observations. As I said before, I thought she should be in the top 5, but still thinks she needs an effective perimeter shot to be an effective college player. As a guard at the D1 level people are going to take the drive away.
  19. As you say she could be a nice D1 player, but interest and offers are 2 completely different things.
  20. I agree. I think if she can learn to shoot the ball off the dribble and off the screen, and handle the ball in traffic she could make someone a nice player.
