Thanks, BB I may have crossed threads, but I was referring to post #5 by Royal Uncle. Now may I ask why they aren't members? There must be a reason; after this same discussion took place last year, one would think it wouldn't be overlooked a second time. For the record, I have very much enjoyed watching RH play the last few years, and I think both Queen and Terry deserved to play in the All Star game.

I don't know the voting process for this, but as I asked previously (this will +the 3rd time), Has RH paid their membership dues to the KABC? It is a simple yes or no answer. If the answer is no, then the explanation is also simple. You must be a member to be considered. If RH is not a member, simply approach your AD and ask why. If it is a member, then I can see everyone's argument without a doubt. But no membership=no consideration...

I totally agree. My son has a September birthday but I didn't send him to kindergarten until the following year. I prefer him to be one of the oldest as opposed to one of the youngest in his class. This will help his social skills and if it helps him sports-wise, then that is just icing on the cake.

As I asked last year in a thread much like this one, why doesn't RH pay their dues to this organization? Is there a reason? If not, if they wish to be considered, simply pay your dues and you'll be in the running next year. Queen certainly would have been at the top, if not #1, had the proper paperwork been filed.

Agreed, Spindoc. Given that it was such a huge deal last year, that RH's coach and player didn't receive this award because their dues weren't paid, one would think the AD at RH would make certain that was taken care of this year...with the talent the team has.

They do have a district fire department tho. I bet Summit Ironville would be glad to take care of that for you. I remember several years back with BC boys won regions, they lead them back in.

Queen was named MVP of the tourney. Even if they choose not to honor her state scoring accomplishment, she proved tonight she deserved to be honored. Maybe she'll be honored in Bowling Green!

I have heard very few 3 second calls in the last four years. I overheard one ref tell a complaining fan that he hasn't called 3 seconds in over 11 years. Quote... I did however see a 3 second call in Richmond during the All A Classic.

It just blows my mind that the tourney powers that be would deny this request! What better time to recognize a super young lady that has accomplished not one but two REGIONAL than at a REGIONAL TOURNAMENT? This isn't just a school record, it is a REGIONAL record. My goodness...... Himmelfarb, I agree that the logic is very strange. IMO, as I stated before, she should be recognized after the championship game, when more people and players are in attendance. I can't imagine why this would be a problem at all. I can say tho that GORADIO had super nice words for Emily while interviewing Megan Gearheart during the West Carter/Ashland game the other night. GORADIO comes through again!

Just had Jon on my mind and remembered hearing that his surgery was last Tuesday. Does anyone out there have an update? Hope his recovery is going well. Prayers are with the Vanhoose family.

Her team still played in the opening round of the region tourney. So IMO it should be presented at the end when a larger crowd from more area school's present. I think it will mean more to her then. I was there Monday night and at 6:00 the crowd was very small.

I completely agree she should be honored. That is quite an accomplishment. What better time than at the presentation of awards at the end of the Regional Tourney!
