  1. The Big Ten has been outstanding this tournament.
  2. 100% this. But a lot of UK fans who were giddy for Cal to leave were even more elated to usher in the Pope era. So yes, Mitch made the hire and is ultimately responsible, but a large segment of BBN was thrilled with his decision. All said, UK basketball has not been fun since the year Covid canceled the tournament. And there's no indication that Pope is going to turn things around next year.
  3. I couldn't watch live. Just caught the highlights. Wild game. Survive and advance.
  4. Georgia. LOL I had them losing, but didn't expect this.
  5. That's a pretty decent win without Brown.
  6. Really breaks my heart.
  7. Mark Pope would not have been on the list of Cal replacements if he wasn't an alum. That was his ONLY qualification, which isn't really a qualification. Two years in and he's very average. I really liked Cal, but the two sides needed greener grass. He's a great coach or he wouldn't have Final Fours at three different schools. His career is marked by consistently winning. That's all I need to see. I really hope Pope can turn things around. He is a good man and it would be a great story if he can succeed. I just don't see it happening.

  9. 20 of the last 23 NCAA Champions were ranked in the Top 6 of the KenPom rankings entering the tournament. Here are the Top 6 this year: 1. Duke 2. Arizona 3. Michigan 4. Florida 5. Houston 6. Iowa State
  10. They tried to blow it, but the future National Champions march on.
  11. We're winning the National Championship.
  12. Can Holy Cross knock off Notre Dame?
  13. Lady Royals hit 10 triples in the first three quarters. PC's Lilly Ashcraft hurt her ankle early. She continued playing but had very little explosion. Mason still would have won, but probably a closer final margin. Lady Royals are well coached and looked very good tonight. But they've got a buzz saw Friday.
  14. Yes. But also, this entire tournament is one huge delay of the inevitable, which is GRC again advancing to the State Tournament. Unfortunately so, in my opinion.
