  1. Very impressive victory for the Tigers. They simply overwhelmed the Dragons with their size and speed in all phases of the game. My hat is off to Warren Central; they fought has hard as they could and came up with some big plays - 80 yrd. TD pass where the WR broke three X tackles. Congrats once again to the Tigers and it's time to get the lawn mower fired up one more time and now down the weeds and bring home St. X's 14th state title!!! :thumb:
  2. I was experienceing the same thing; this is the first time I've been able to get on BGP since Tuesday night!!! Glad to be back on just in time. As for the game, I also see a shoot out with T pulling one out in the end. :thumb:
  3. I was also at the prayer service and after listening to what some of the players had to say I believe that they have no intentions of doing anything less then bringing home a state championship. :thumb:
  4. Anybody going down early to tailgate? There is a shopping center on Russelville Rd. about a quarter mile from the stadium. Would be a great place to tailgate and would make for a fast get-a-way after the game. :thumb:
  5. St. Xavier Trinity DeSales Newport Central Catholic Bardstown Tie breaker - 49 points :thumb:
  6. Take 64 W towards Louisville (duh) From 64 W take 264 E (Watterson X-way) From 264 E take second of two exit ramps at Shelbyville Rd. (I believe it's exit 20 B) towards St. Matthews Go down Shelbyville Rd. about two miles and look for the lights on the right; you can't miss it :thumb:
  7. Another suitible test for the Tigers. The Dragons will give X all they want and will be tough to defend. Even if X gets up on them early, WC has shown that is doesn't roll over and die. I see this one going back and forth, much like the T - HC being played 115 miles north. Like all games, the key for X will be their line play on both sides of the ball. If they establish the run, which will set up the pass, the Tigers should win by at least double digits. Defensively the Tigers need to force 3 and outs early and often and kill the undying spirit of WC. If X allow the Dragons to stay in the game it'll be a toss up. Turnovers and penalties must be reduced to ZERO. In the end X wins and cheers of St. X High will be heard throughout central KY. Tigers 28 Dragons 13 :thumb:
  8. This one will go back and forth and will possibly come down to who makes to most mistakes. I don't know much about HC, but they need to take away the deep passes and put pressure on Petrino and force him to make mistakes. If HC can do this, and tack on some points, they have a legit shot. This game will not be a blowout unless one of the two D's don't show up. I like the Rockheads by at least 5. :thumb:
  9. DeSales rolls over O-Cath and dethrowns Belfry in the championship game. This team is very disciplined and extremely well coached. The Colts won't be denied. :thumb:
  10. What a terrible idea this has turned out to be. Bowling Green could've put on the "Showcase of the Year" by having a double header with Warren Central - St. X and Bowling Green - Bullitt East. Four of the best teams in the state playing on the same night - and with so much at stake! Not that this is going to happen anytime soon, but this blows any chance of Bowling Green/WKU holding the football championship games. What a shame! :irked: :thumb:
  11. I wish I were going to the game tomorrow!!! :thumb:
  12. The St. X Tigers (12-0) travel to Elizabethtown to meet the John Hardin Bulldogs (11-1) on Friday at 7:30 PM in the state 4-A quarterfinals. General admission tickets are $5 each and will be on sale in the St. X ticket office Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No reserved seats are available for this game. The gates will open at 5:30 and seating may be limited. DIRECTIONS TO JOHN HARDIN HIGH SCHOOL: Take I-65 south to Exit 102. Go west on KY 313/Joe Prather Highway. Then go south on U.S. 31-W (Dixie Highway). At the third traffic light, the school will be on your right. :thumb:
  13. I would like to see one of the Louisville teams make it to the finals; it'll be tough in the semi-state game. :thumb:
  14. I think it's on a rotation like the semifinals...but I could be wrong. :thumb:
  15. I shrunk your pic so you can use it as your avatar if needed. If you need it resized or anything let me know. :thumb:
  16. Bell County Henry Clay Warren Central Bullitt East Lexington Catholic DeSales Bardstown Lexington Christian Somerset Fort Campbell 42 pts. :thumb:
  17. I couldn't have said it any better my self. It's funny how most fans can complain about officiating, but have no clue about the actual rules. Personally, I would like OPI in HS to be a 5 yard pentalty from the previous spot + LOD. :thumb:
  18. This one should be entertaining to say the least. DeSales has improved every week since they lost to Western during the first part of the season and a playoff win on the road - @ Corbin - is always a confidence booster. I'm up in the air about this one. I'd like to see both teams move on, but I'll be cheering for St. Francis DeSales in this one. Good luck to both teams! :thumb:
  19. Both teams can run, pass, and play D. Special teams may determine the outcome of this game. And with the game being played in E-town that favors JH. However, as often as I've seen the Tigers play this year I don't think the Bulldogs can play with them for four quarters. Tigers pull away in the 4th quarter to win by at least 10. :thumb:
  20. Another dominating win for the Tigers! Keep it rolling down in E-town! :flame: John Hardin :thumb:
  21. His last name is spelled Glaser; sorry I'm OC about some things. :thumb:
  22. Manual to win tonight 24-21. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm :thumb:
  23. Holy Cross is for real and will knock off the Ads 21-20. :thumb:
