  1. I agree and with Barnes and Webb starting to get back to form after them both missing some games is big for the Rebels.
  2. I have to give Danville Credit, they really point the claps on Imfeld but the Rebels showed that they have some players that could step up. Plus rebounding was a story in the game with the Rebels out rebounding the Admirals by 25.

  5. These game are always dandies to watch. I think the Rebels will come away with the win by 12. GO REBELS!!
  6. Was sitting here and thinking about the Rebels start to this year (11-1) and thought that I would to some research. Going back into the KHSAA and looking back all the way to the 97/98 season (that's the furthest that I could go back) and looking at the first 12 games (24 seasons), I have found out that Boyle has had 12 season where they have had a winning record, 2 seasons that were ties and 10 seasons with losing records. Coach Pittman was coaching Boyle from the 97/98 season to the 01/02 season where he had a 10-2 season in 97/98. Boyle beat Southwestern in the 12 Region finals and went on to lose to Fleming County in the first round of the State 57-49. Andy Moberly took over in the 02/03 season and only coached 2 seasons. Coach Ronnie Bottoms then took over for the next 4 seasons where his best record was 7-5 in the 07/08 season. The next coach to take over the reins at Boyle was Coach Steve Adams, who would go on to coach at Boyle for the next 11 seasons. Coach Adams best start in 12 games was 10-2 in the 14/15 and 15/16 seasons with Boyle going on to the semi finals of the State Tournament. The 15/16 season seen the Rebels lose to Casey County in the 2nd round of the 12 Region 60-57. That led us to Coach Dennie Webb who took over last year and went 7-5. This year Coach Webb has the Rebels off to their best start in 24 years at 11-1 and the only lose is to Somerset 72-68. In that game the Rebels where not up to full strength and was without their Head Coach (Coach Darryl Adams took over and did a great job if I might say so). Can the Rebels get back to the State again this year? First thing is to win the next game and so on. That would leave the District and then the Region so only one thing at a time. The Rebels are playing really good at this time but I don't think that they have played their best ball yet. Go REBELS!!

  9. Final from South Laurel and the first game of the Tom Cook Classic.
  10. Boyle was suppose to play Frederick Douglas in the Ted Cook Classic at South Laurel but because of Covid with Frederick Douglas, Allen County-Scottsville was put in their place. This game almost didn't get played because of Douglas and the Covid. Boyle found out today that they will play Allen County-Scottsville. This will be the first (1:00 PM Saturday 2.20.2021) of 4 games played at South Laurel. Not sure what Allen County-Scottsville (10-3) has but Boyle (10-1) is playing pretty good at this time but as not had a game since 2.9.2021. Allen County-Scottsville has not played in a game since 2.12.2021 so both teams will come in with not having played in over a week. Might be a little rust by both teams, thoughts on the game.

  14. Yea they have 2 Seniors, 4 Juniors, 3 Sophomores, 2 Freshman and 1 8th grader.
  15. I agree with a Coach Woods anything is possible. He hasn't been a coach for a long as he has not to get the best out of he's players. Wayne always seems to be there at the end of the year.
  16. Boyle travel's to Wayne Tuesday night 2/9/2021 for another 12 region matchup. Boyle is coming off a week were they went 3-0 with wins over Lincoln, Southwestern and Pulaski. Coach Webb has Boyle playing really good right now and they are finally at full staff. Boyle is 10-1 coming into the game and 6-1 in the 12 region, they're being lead in scoring by Imfeld who is averaging 24.1 points a game. Boyle also had 2 more player averaging in double figures Sheperson at 11.2 and Gillis at 10. Sheperson is lead Boyle in rebounds at 8.6 a game while Gillis is leading the Rebels in assist at 3.1. Wayne is having a not so Wayne reason at 4-7 and 3-6 in the region. Wayne also had 3 players in double figures led by Phillips 15.1, Weaver 15.0 and Burchett 13.4 and Weaver is leading them in rebounds at 7.5 a game. Wayne is coming off a week which seen them lose 2 game Somerset away and West Jessamine at home. Is this the year that Wayne doesn't make it out of the district. Its been 14 years (2005-2006) since the last time that Wayne has not got out of the district. Thoughts and who do you think will win.
  17. Boyle's defense is really picked up the last couple of games and playing really good. The rebounds was 20-19 at the half with Boyle having 20. But the second half the boards belong to Boyle out rebounding Pulaskie 18-9. Boyle held Pulaski to 18.8% from the 3 point line were Pulaski is shooting 24.8% on the year. Again I have to talk about Boyle's defense which is playing really good right now and Boyle is final at full strength for the first time this year. Their D is really getting after teams and they can go at least 4-5 deep of the bench. It was a good 12 region win for the Rebels and 10-1 on the season.

  20. That makes Lincoln 2-2 in the District and Danville is 3-0.
