It wouldn't make any sense to do it. Depth is huge. 5-on-5 in basketball, with all 5 playing offense and defense, is more open to potential level playing ability. See University Heights, et al. It's reasonable a small school could have 5 great athletes. But some schools can have 22 football starters (and really good ones at that) due to depth that would only rarely happen at A or even AA schools. It's just simple logic. Bowls are fine in college, as it's recruiting-based, and schools are as good as what they can recruit. The way it is is great, although the 6 class system is yet to be tested. Four has worked very well.

I plan to make it. It's would be my first X and T game. It's about a 4 hour drive, but it should be worth it. :thumb:

Actually the state of West Virginia has in recent years taken over the Mingo County Board of Education. Twice. It might have been turned over to the local board recently, I'm not sure. So yes, it's possible the quality of education is lacking. Consolidation of high schools has been a big topic in the county also. It seems many don't want that. As for number of girls, I don't know.

There's a lot of Northern KY teams on that list.. Couldn't you ask for Boone or Dixie Heights and make it a clean sweep?
