  1. My mistake on the date there....If the place is not ready for 08/25 game against Owensboro, then I understand the game will be played at Daviess Co. on 08/26
  2. Mouth piece attached or not attached is no issue. Gotta have it, gotta use it thats all.
  3. They will be playing at KWC. The field has been renamed by virtue of a Aces contributor. A long list of on site projects ( locker rooms, new seating, lights etc) was late getting started and there is concern that it will not be ready for the 1st game there on 08/26 against OHS. But the field will be played on this year, there is no question about that. An alternative site may be used for the 08/25 game if it is not ready
  4. Good observation. The last 2 state championship games have been a defensive problem for OC. IMO if they could have stacked the line with 9-10 players and had both Belfry and Russell throw the ball some, it MIGHT have made a difference. Why have guys 10-12 yds off the ball when the run is doing you in, and the pass game is idle. I believe against Belfry in 2004, a total of like 3 passes was attempted. Make a running team pass the ball some by stacking the line some. What is the worse that can happen....You lose the game????? Good luck to all the Owensboro / Daviess Co teams this year.
  5. Here is the best I can give you. Go to the thread called "St. X's new stadium" started by Xman85. Go to the link that on 1st entry by XMan Go to news archives on bottom left Go down to the news archive of 12/02/05 and it gives several games to listen to. Good Luck. I am sure there is an easier way to get to it, but this is just how I happen upon it.
  6. I was needing a little "fix" before the season starts so I found a radio replay of the St. X/John Hardin playoff game Nov. 2005. What a game that was I am sure if you were there. I know it is past history, but it was still enjoyable and it, at least for now, put an end to the shakes.....For the record, I am from Owensboro so I was not pulling for either team so no bashing. ;)
  7. Two touchdowns, both PAT's blocked and a safety= 14. Thats right 14 days:banana:
  8. Hearts and prayers from Owensboro. Although I never got to see him play, the videos were impressive. At time like these we are all one big football family.
  9. I must say I would love to travel East to see this game. Although, I am more familiar with the West, I have a lot of respect for the East (given what they have done to the Owensboro Catholic Aces the last 2 years). This should be a barn burner. My wife (can you believe it) can not justify me traveling that far for a game. Gee you would think she would understand.
  10. IZE="6"][/size] 15 like 5 field goals left....:dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa
  11. I am suprised that someone had not put this earlier. It should be a really good one
  12. This one could be very interesting. How much advantage does Male have, in your opinion, because they already would have a game played where as this is Hoptown's 1st?
  13. 3 F.G.'s, plus a touchdown and successful PAT= 16 days baby:banana:
  14. Does anyone see possible 1st week upsets coming?
  15. The player was a Junior and had practiced this morning. At approx 9:45 on thw way into the locker room after morning drills, he collasped and was helped into the locker room where 911 was called and he died at the hospital which is about less then 10 miles from the practice field. Ironic that earlier in the week a local news station did a story with Henderson coach Duffy about the heat and practice. God bless everyone involved.
  16. 1. Owensboro new field 2. Owensboro Catholic new home field 3. Apollo -vs- Daviess Co for braggin rights
  17. 29...getting there:dancingpa
  18. Wondering if anyone can give me infor. on Montgomery Co. this year? Do they have a chance to break out of the tough streak they are having the last few years. Does Gooch have them ready this year?
  19. 31 See you at the end of the season HON...soryy i just had to put that:dancingpa
  20. 31 and then we are done:dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa
  21. He looked much older/mature than a freshman when OCatholic was playing there a few years ago. Its says a lot when a freshman can have a game like that. I was impressed.:ylsuper:
  22. I would have to agree. Until the West can learn to stop the smash mouth running attacks that has doomed them the last couple of years, the East would have to be the favorites. BTW I love that style even if it has shot down the West lately.:thumb:
  23. Maybe the the band aid should be moving it to Commonwealth, because Kentucky generally does not play that late in the year.
  24. Thanks for the information. I remember hearing something being tossed around here on BGP about it, but did not know it was in concrete. Did they put 1A between 2A and 3A in the fond hope of getting a better crowd or what? I must say last year the 1A game crowd was really down, but also the outside elements were not the best unless you are old school like me!!
