Very Sad News: The Death of LSURock
LSURock is a friend and I am very Saddened by this news. I only knew him through Trinity and was always amazed at how passionate he was about the School and the sports program. I saw him recently at the Trinity/Ballard Baseball game and most recently at the 7 on 7 last Thurdsay. I will personally miss LSU for all of his Love and dedication to the school not to mention his wit when it came to battling all comers on this website. All my best to his family

Ballard Bruins....a good thing...
I don't know Catlett but I do know Beatty. Why does everyone think the Trinity job is so easy? "Be careful to criticize someone until you have walked in their shoes" exactly! Trinity wins State Championships because they outwork everyone else. I am glad to hear Ballard is working out also. Your comment about getting kids from everywhere left out 1 important part. Kids whose parents are willing to make the sacrifice to pay $9,000 a year for tuition. In case you did not know, Trinity is not free no matter how good an athlete you are.

St. Xavier New Stadium and Athletic Complex...
1st of all - I never said the stadium looked stupid - what I said was I can't speak for the administration but have to believe Trinity could have made the visitor side smaller and the home side larger - but it would look stupid if you were trying to build a "state of the art facility". As far as Oxnard's explantion to Rockpride in previous post - You explained the thought process on how you got 5000 seats on the home side and tried to explain the small amount of seats on visitor side based on your current competition being weak on a regular basis. I have to believe X will start scheduling different competition in the near future and they could bring different crowds - ie Montgomery Bell, Bowling Green, Cincy St. X, Lex Cath. etc. My point is if there was a mistake made in planning - just say "we wish we had more seats on the Visitor side but had planning/easement issues" St. X is a fabulous organization from top to bottom and the facility will be one of the tops in the region if not the country. Congratulations to our Catholic Brothers. I am done on this subject. I hope to attend the opening game and cheer you on against our dear friends from Ballard. :dancingpa

St. Xavier New Stadium and Athletic Complex...
Thanks CentreRocks - I agree - I am glad X has a new facility - Understand I went to THS my brother went to X. I think the finished product will be state of the art - I appreciate you explaining the easment issues - All I was asking is why is the visitors side so small and I kept getting defensive answers. If there was a reason for the problem just say so and quit rationalizing.

St. Xavier New Stadium and Athletic Complex...
I wasn't talking about Trinity - I thought we were talking about X's new facility. But since you brought it up. We have had 9,000 plus several times at Marshall Stadium with no problems. I really can't say if we have a whole lot of home fans on the visitor side - but probably - I can't speak for the administration but have to believe Trinity could have made the visitor side smaller and the home side larger - but it would look stupid if you were trying to build a "state of the art facility". Should have evened the sides out a little more - Symetrically the stadium looks off - Is the press box off center also?

When do you think Lexington will compete?
Trinity has to beat Male or St. X to win State:thumb:

St. Xavier New Stadium and Athletic Complex...
Sorry about the repeat didn't catch it earlier. I still believe it looks odd. With the amount of land over there you would have thought it would be possible to have a more balanced looking field. What about teams like Montgomery Bell - St. X Cincy - Elder - Bowling Green. I would think some of them would travel well? I seriously doubt - other than opening night (or year) that you will have 5000 St. X fans on a regular basis coming to a game that the opponent only brings 800or less - I just think you shortchanged yourself and the opponents. The stands look like a Major College Stadium on the home side - and a Grade School field on the other. Just my opinion Does anyone know what Manual Stadium seating capacity is on each side? FYI - I am happy for St. X that you have your own facility. The turf looks great on the football and baseball facility.

When do you think Lexington will compete?
Just to set the record straight - Male wasn't winning the whole game - THS was up 20-7 at Half. As far as the game coming down to a 4th down stand - IF St. X Scores and IF they get a 2 point conversion the game is tied. :thumb:

St. Xavier New Stadium and Athletic Complex...
I know varsity football is at PJCS - I have enjoyed PJCS and hope to keep it there. My original question was, Where do the Visitors sit? It looks really odd with no (few) seats on the visitors side of the stadium.

St. Xavier New Stadium and Athletic Complex...
I am sure it was planned.. 100 years ago they said let's build the Brothers House in the shape of Number 1 in case we ever get a field. 1 Question - Where do the visitors sit?

What is the greatest varsity football game you ever saw at Manual Stadium?
Trinty came back and beat Manual - I believe 34-31 on a great 4th quarter by the Rocks - Nick Petrino overcame some early mistakes.

X and T fans only:
Pull for St. X most of the time - Depends on What St. X fans I 'am with. Lot of friends at St.X but can't stand the superiority complex a lot of them have. Including my brother a St. X grad.

St. Xavier New Stadium and Athletic Complex...
I have to believe if the Home crowd is large enough to fill the 5,000 seats, the visitors would typically bring more than 1,100. How far away are the stands from the field? How many people attend track meets? Could they not have sacrificed a row or two to the visitors side?

I don't know what you are talking about - Trinity is on the radio every week 900 AM WFIA - with the exception of the Southern game - Southern didn't have the phone lines. FYI - Trinity Football is also available world wide on the THS website.
