  1. I think Fugate will definitely be a finalist for the award, but I don't know if he will win. Did Haddix (former Breathitt QB) win Mr. Football in 2002? I know he had a tremendous season that year.
  2. I'm really happy for this Whitley County team and wish them the best against Highlands. However, Highlands is a top five team in the state, regardless of class. As much as I want to be completely wrong, this game probably won't be close at all. Highlands - 49 Whitley - 14
  3. I didn't know Fugate was coming back. He will definitely be the best back in the mountains next year. I don't think he could play in the SEC, though. I think he would be a good fit at EKU or WKU.
  4. I'm definitely pulling for the Dragons, but it will be tough to win at Pikeville. Hopefully, they can control the clock with Link and pull off the win!
  5. Caleb Watkins should be one of the best backs in eastern Kentucky. The games I've watched him play, he has destroyed the defenses.
  6. The best bet for the Black Bears is to keep Breathitt's offense off of the field as much as possible. If they can get some tough yards out of Green (I don't think Green will out run many people) and Roberts, and then counter with Gilliam, the game will be close. The lower the score, the better chance the Black Bears have.
  7. I watched Corbin and Somerset play, and Corbin ran the ball at will. The game wasn't even fair! I think Somerset will definitely have an early exit from the playoffs.
  8. One thing is for sure, Gilliam set the bar high for Harlan County High School as far as single game performance is concerned. I have to admit that I wasn't sold on Gilliam before the season started because of a couple of games I watched him play last season. However, he answered all questions for me, and I think he is a dandy.
  9. I went to the Corbin/Somerset and it wasn't pretty. Somerset scored because of special teams plays, but their offense had a VERY difficult time moving the ball. I look for Harlan County to roll in this one: Harlan County 42 Somerset 20
  10. Corbin completely dominated the game. It was 7-0 Somerset when I got there, and the only thing I can figure is they returned a kick for a TD because their offense was shut down the entire game. Corbin has a very good team!
  11. Were they are a newly consolidated school, they had a hard time scheduling games for the first season.
  12. Answer this question: Are we using a war for the cause of killing people, or are we using a war to protect people from being killed? I don't think that protecting the world from terrorism is a bad thing.
  13. Thanks for clearing that up. I like the format of playing the opposite district better, too.
  14. I'm confused. Didn't Cawood play Estill in the first round of the playoffs last season? Does it alternate each season?
  15. So, Estill will be the #2 seed and the Bears will the #3, right? Does this mean they will play at Estill in the first round of the playoffs if these seeds hold up? Then, the winner of Estill/Harlan Co. will play the winner of Breathitt/Powell or Fleming? I still get confused on the playoff format. When I was in high school, we played the opposite district, but I think that is switched now.
  16. Here are the numbers so far: Gilliam - 563 (online) - 3,458 (email) - 4,021 (total) Wilson - 655 (online) - 2,117 (email) - 2,772 (total) It would take a tremendous effort at this point to beat Gilliam.
  17. Gilliam is leading at this point in time. The voting ends tomorrow, so vote all you can!!!
  18. After looking at the Graziano kid, I don't think Hogan's release should have been so premature. Graziano *GRAPHIC*
  19. I'm not sure I want to listen to a group who says their on a "Highway to Hell." :fire:
  20. Gilliam is still losing to the kid from Monroe Co, but not by much. That stats don't compare, though.
