  1. What is the coaching situation in M'boro? I agree that their talent is as good as anyone, but their coaching is suspect. It has seemed to be that way for last several years.
  2. Jarrod Lawson was a very good football player!
  3. Let me add that it was very good coaching on Clay's part! :thumb:
  4. I think Green is in the top 8 of the region.
  5. I'm not saying I disagree with you, but if you are a Bell Almuni, you aren't going to be for anything related to M'boro. Quit stirring so many arguments.
  6. Poor Coach Whitaker! He never could get over the hump could he? I remember watching that game. Asher from Clay was a power inside. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he had 20+ rebounds in either the semis or the finals.
  7. That is a very nice facility. I wish Johnson the best as he continues his basketball career.
  8. Aren't Euton, Jackson and Guyn all sophomores? If so, it is safe to say they will be ranked nationally at some point over the course of the next two seasons!
  9. Mason Co. finished 23rd in the nation this past season? Will the '08-'09 Scott Co. team be better than the '07-'08 Mason Co. team? I think this is definitely a possibility.
  10. There having it on Father's Day? They should have it 14th, on a Saturday. I may just go up to Indy that Friday, 13th and watch it.
  11. Does anyone know the time, date and place of the game that takes place in KY?
  12. I didn't either. Someone pointed it out to me. From what I had heard, he was a mid-major type player. I guess he was labeled too quickly, or didn't have a good try out.
  13. Just remembered, where is Tyshawn Edmondson? I'm surprised to not see him on there.
  14. It's good to see Harlan Co. and the 13th region represented. Congrats!!!
  15. If Johnson doesn't make the all-star team it will probably be because of the same reasons he didn't make the all-state team. It is all about who you know, and how many points you score. I guess the voters for the all-state team didn't take into account that Johnson averaged almost 14 rebounds a game (that information came from the coach). I'll take 15 points and 14 rebounds a game, EVERY game!!! Let me say, however, this is not a shot to any player that made that all-state team. I'm sure they're all deserving.
  16. Did Novosel try out? I don't see her name on the list, and from what I have read and heard, she should have made the team.
  17. That is correct! :thumb:
  18. You can be A-1 people, and still send your child to a different school for basketball. I'm not knocking them. If it was going to give my son a legitimate shot at a state title and more exposure, I'd do it, too.
  19. I've not heard anything about that. I know his ACT is good enough to play immediately at LMU, but I'm not sure if the scale is the same with all schools.
  20. I heard just while ago that Happy Osborne said he wanted all of Johnson's school information (GPA, ACT, etc.) and he will look at what they have coming back and who is committing to them. In addition to that, Morehead St. offered him a scholarship, but he would have to sit out the first year. Johnson doesn't know if he wants to do that. I think LMU is his top school right now (over East Tennessee St., Berea, Cumberland, Pikeville, and a couple of others), but since G'town is in the mix now, Johnson may wait to sign.
  21. My mistake. I thought he was Boone's top player. I had that mixed up.
  22. I heard today that Desmond Johnson has looked as good as anyone there. Obviously, Hopson and Miller hasn't been there, but Johnson has stoodout among the crowd. I've even heard that Georgetown has made a few calls to the Cumberland coaches.
  23. Does anyone have any stats on Flannery from this past season?
  24. There is no doubt Georgetown is a nice place to live, especially if you can get a job at Toyota. A friend of my family works there and he has it made. It's close to Lexington and Louisville, and not far from Cincy. Add the chance to win a state championship on top of that, it is good for both parties. I can't say that I blame these guys for going, but it is suspicious, and I am curious to see if the KHSAA looks into it.
