Henderson just doesn't have the numbers for a trip this far and to go against a team that does have numbers like Cov Cath.

Actually they only had two guys back, both were running backs. They also don't think they did that until late in the year. That was Duffer's last year as the head coach. This year their punter is the same kid that is their place kicker. One of the best kickers and soccer players in the state.

Henderson didn't want a small roster. It was a byproduct of Duffy style. It's probably the biggest reason why he didn't have more success at Henderson. When going against the bigger schools you almost have to have numbers. When most of your kids play both ways you just run out of gas. We are on our second coach since Tom or Duffer were here and the numbers still haven't come up. I think it has a lot to do with what Rambo said and again the youth football program in Henderson is a joke, always has been.

A few thoughts... This is not meant as a knock on Richard Carter. Kid is a great athlete and beast at RB but he is not a QB. How is it that there isn't an better option that gives them a legit passing threat? Richard has a decent arm as far as strength but zero accuracy. They are completely one dimensional. It's a shame because they have some skill at the WR position. I try not to take too much away from the first game. Henderson never seems to play very well the first game. I was really disappointed in the continued low number of kids on the roster for Henderson. I counted only 42 dressed players. There were a few in street cloths but total was still under 50 even if all had been dressed. They are having to play way too many both ways. I wish someone would take over running the youth program that knew what the heck they were doing. Bill Heath's time has come and gone and that goes for baseball as well.

For those that tape for preventative means....how much time does your kids spend on ankle mobility?

You basing your comment on one scrimmage? Didn't Highlands get thumped last year by a down Trinity team? Please do not read much into this score. Henderson was playing with heavy hearts on Friday as one of their Freshman coaches passed away on Friday. Marvin Trent, who was only 28, died Friday morning.
