  1. So, since Larry Vaught has finished working on the story, when can we expect some more posts in this thread based on his conclusion:
  2. Nobody? To me, it's easy to play tough and say "run 'em," but there HAS to be a point where it's too much.
  3. I think the SEC East is the best 6 team collection in the country at the moment; Saying the entire conference is "by far" the best is clearly reaching.
  4. No group of people are more likely to be conservative than middle aged white males... they're also the most likely to be serial killers.
  5. So everybody that says running is acceptable in all cases, you believe that there is never a time when a coach might legitimately ask too much of the athlete?
  6. Wrong time to yammer on when the West is so bad. Honestly, it reminds me of the Big XII in football a few years back. One half the league was a super conference, the other half was just a drag.
  7. I think you mean Wicca. Some might call it pagan or witchcraft, but there are those that practice it that would claim those are pejorative terms. Check it out at Beliefnet to learn more. To be honest, it's pretty faddy among teenage girls, although it is not my intent to belittle it- I've met several comitted, serious practitioners.
  8. I'm all for conditioning, and running to get the point across when the team isn't 'getting it' can be a useful tool, but there is such a thing as too much.
  9. I'll take Kentucky, but not by a huge margin. Single digits unless there's a foul game late.
  10. It happens. Louisville's offensive line lost two of its best hogmollies (Spitz and Leffew) in decades last season and got better. Louisville's defensive line lost a major award winner (Dumervil) and a big time hole filler (Stanley) last season to the draft and got better in both pass rushing and stopping the run. As far as I know, Louisville's defense is losing one first round draft pick, MAYBE two first day picks. Probably not. Those sort of losses do not prevent teams from reloading and getting better.
  11. Why would I refute that? I like Brown, think he's a great team guy on top of being a good OLB in Louisville's scheme. He's also an OLB/SS tweener that obviously wasn't considered irreplacable heading into the biggest game in Louisville history. That's my point, and that's my point with a lot of these guys.
  12. That might apply if the offense were an NCAA infraction, and Louisville were reprimanded but UK wasn't. Vaught is a member of the press, and I don't see anything wrong for one of his subjects taking him to task for being clearly biased. The tone? That's another story. Rocco should maybe let someone else do the penning.
  13. The depth chart before the OB doesn't even list Brown as a starter, BTW. So scratch another name from that list. http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/lou/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/depth-chart.pdf Not your fault, I figured he started that game too. Although I knew he missed some early games from injury this season.
  14. Is there any proof that people 'aligned' with her were involved, besides the word of the people that ran with this piece to begin with? Forgive me if I don't take their word as Gospel...
  15. A classmate of Obama's from the school says it's pretty much the same.
  16. Witty, but they certainly look to have Fox beat in that category on this one.
  17. I seem to recall UK nearly beating LSU one year. I guess since UK fans want to brag about moral victories, that puts Louisville in the same catergory program-wise, although that's not what I meant. I meant that Louisville belonged in the 'you never know what could happen, but in all likelihood this team will beat Kentucky' catergory.:thumb: I do want to take issue with the belief that U of L is "no more talented now than then." That's patently false. Look at the recruits from 4 and 5 years ago (so that they'd be Juniors against Kentucky in 2005) and then look at the recruits from the past few years. Louisville is a MUCH more talent-rich team than they were then, especially in depth.
  18. Fox News claimed that Barak Obama was educated in a Madrassa. Of course, that just means 'school' in arabic, but the insinuation was that this was a radical Islamic school. Never mind the fact that the Indonesian school was ACTUALLY a public school (found out after CNN decided to try some actual JOURNALISM.) Never mind the fact that before attending the Indonesian school he was in a CATHOLIC school. Never mind the fact that I've seen NO PROOF that this is something 'leaked by the Clinton camp' like they claim. I mean, c'mon. This is pathetic. Listen to Steve Doocy exclaim how HUGE this is (it's not) and the way he makes a big deal out of Obama's middle name (Hussein.) This was a smear piece. Watch it for yourself. If you don't think this was a smear, that this wasn't a conservative show rushing out to get some licks in on a liberal candidate, then I'd love to revisit some of the reaction after the 60 Minutes piece on Bush's military service. I seem to remember some chest beating over that one.
  19. Morris cannot enter the draft. He is now and forever an NBA free agent.
  20. Too bad UK is in such a catch-22... If Morris plays to his potential down the stretch, UK is going to be relying on Jared Carter at the 5 next season, on pretty limited experience.
