  1. Go back and check the first page, there are absolutely UK fans in this thread that mention how much they like to see Duke lose.
  2. Yeah, I reversed the mascots in my head, but I had the right team in mind. Look at their home production versus on the road the past few seasons.
  3. UC will be coming off a rough road trip to Jersey, and Louisville will be coming off a home game against Utah.
  4. And that was Brohm's first game back from injury. Not to mention we wore the red pants, which are always in poor taste at home.
  5. That home field advantage at Nippert is pretty fearsome.
  6. Oregon St doesn't travel well, I'd take the BCats over the Ducks in that one. vs. Southeast Missouri State W(1-0) vs. Oregon State W(2-0) at Miami (Ohio) W(3-0) vs. Marshall W(4-0) at San Diego State W(5-0) (That's a heck of a trip, though!) at Rutgers L(5-1) vs. Louisville L(5-2) at Pittsburgh W(6-2) at USF L(6-3) vs. Connecticut W(7-3) vs. West Virginia L(7-4) at Syracuse W(8-4)
  7. :thumb: What does LSU have coming back? Calling that Bayou Rock.
  8. I think 10-2 is the high end against that schedule for U of L. I'd call the low end 8-4.
  9. I just wanted to show that in fewer bites of the apple, U of L has put together a class on par with the average SEC team. And Louisville still has two more bites to come, in my opinion...
  10. UK COULD beat everybody else, IMO. Big difference. UK could have beaten South Carolina last year, but didn't. And, no, I don't think Kentucky would get a win in the three games mentioned.
  11. The question is, since you don't think Kentucky will make a bowl with THEIR schedule, would Louisville make one in thier place?
  12. Why does Michigan? I don't know, but there were some reasons for U of L scheduling the game: It was a game against a BCS opponent, a very short trip (the bean counters in the athletic department loved it) and it would have been an ESPN game. This is a business, you know. Plus, Louisville fans would have made the road trip.
  13. That's on Rivals, completely different story on scout. Look at my post above yours for an example.
  14. It's an arcane 'formula' that assigns the points they use for the rankings. I say formula as condescendingly as possible. It's an entirely subjective process which has been accussed of favoring teams whose fanbases are most likely to buy the recruiting guides.
  15. Because a few of Louisville's recruits don't count the same in the average star rating. Louisville has 16 verbals for this class- 6 4-star, 6 3-star and 4 2-star for scout. Do the math and that comes out to a different average star rating, doesn't it? Several of the SEC teams ranked ahead of Louisville are there because they have a bloated number of 3-star recruits. Miss St, for example, has 11... but they also show 31 committs. Arkansas has no 5-star recruits, and 3 4-star recruits, but they do have 13 3-star recruits. Which class should you write home about?
  16. Temple was scheduled a number of years ago, it was part of a multi game contract and this year was a return date for our last game against the Owls in 2003. Murray St was the best team that would do home and home with Louisville, and fill a home date this year. It's not that shocking considering when the hole in the schedule came up.
  17. Many of the SEC teams ahead of Louisville are doing it on sheer numbers of recruits, not really better talent. Louisville has more 'quality' recruits (4 and 5) star players than a good chunk of the SEC, but half the committs. It's a small class scholarship wise for Louisville.
  18. Not last year. Why do you assume Boise WANTS a home-and-home with Louisville? Same with Hawaii, Jurich did some work trying to schedule home-and-home for this season with them but it didn't work out financially. Louisville needed the home game THIS year, and I think the Rainbow Warriors wouldn't play ball on that topic. Why do you assume Louisville fans want to see TCU again? We don't like the Horned Frogs, football-wise they were my least favorite in the ol' C-USA, and I'm happy to see them shut out.
  19. With 16 recruits, Louisville is currently 44th on scout and 41st on Rivals. UK, with 25, is currently 58th and 54th, respectively. Louisville would rank 10th and 11th in the SEC at this time (ahead of Kentucky and Vandy.) By average star rating (3.06 and 3.14), Louisville would rank 9th in both leagues. I would note that three SEC schools have at least 29 recruits. Louisville still has two 4 stars and three 3 stars they're still in with.
  20. Who said it was annoying?! My day would never be as bright, without the 18%...
  21. But with Tulsa, TCU, Fresno, Boise, there's a fairly good chance that when you play them, they won't be any good. Schedules are done in advance of when the lightning in a bottle is caught. Just look at one of your examples, Fresno State. They got pounded this season, they started out 1-7. They went 4-4 in the WAC. What would Louisville have gained by scheduling them over a mediocre BCS team?
  22. I'm sure the Final Four ring that several of our current players wear eases their pain...:sssh:
