  1. Just read this somewhere- Turrene ran a 100 M in 10.34, electronically timed. Obviously there's a difference between track speed and field speed, but manohman is that fast.
  2. Brohm was a 4 star. Peanut was a 5 star on scout, but 4 star on Rivals. Turrene is the reverse, so this is the first Rivals 5 star.
  3. Louisville is building a small but SOLID class. I could never have imagined that recruiting would go so well a few weeks ago. Tom Jurich is the MAN.

  5. It'll be named for Crum, and the name carries over to the new arena.
  6. Really? I would be beyond shocked.
  7. Like I said, if it were a simple matter of being short one math credit, he could take the class during the summer. If you're saying that he didn't WANT to take that math class, then he didn't want to go to Florida too awful bad, I guess.
  8. But couldn't pick it up over the summer? If he wanted to go to Florida, he could have gone.
  9. Tom Jurich just called in to the Joe B and Denny show to let Coach Crum know that the court in the new arena would be named in his honor! :dancingpa
  10. He might as well have added 'so long as Matt Simms may sign.' If Matt Simms weren't on the line, Louisville would be all over Mustain.
  11. The kid has kept his nose clean, taken care of school work. People are acting like he got busted and kicked out of Miami so now Louisville is looking to pick him up when he gets out of the big house, and that's not the case. If he's turned it around, and keeps it that way, I'll be glad to cheer for him.
  12. :thumb: He's finishing the year at Arkansas, but he's not rejoining the team.
  13. Einstein himself wrote that his deep religiosity ended in his childhood. Although he made more than a few witty remarks later in life that mention God ("God does not play dice" is my favorite) he does not reference a 'God of Men's hearts.' The quote that Getslow provided earlier has a second part: "God is subtle but He is not malicious... Nature hides her secret because of her essential loftiness, but not by means of ruse." Doesn't really sound like something you'd hear in the Sunday morning sermon, does it? Einstein exhibited a Deism, but not a religiosity.
  14. I think you're getting caught up in what is almost certainly an apocryphal accreditation. Here's another site dealing with this floating letter.
  15. For one thing, it's just a variation of stories that have floated around for sometime, only it suddenly cites Einstein as an appeal to authority. If it's not in his biographies, at this point it is HIGHLY unlikely that there was a classmate that suddenly remembered the story in 2004 and sent it out in an email.
  16. :thumb: For all the hand wringing over Nate Harris, Montrell Jones, Rod Council and others, Louisville has proved itself to be a pretty good place for young football players to get themselves on track.
  17. I really don't follow you.
  18. On topic, Trinity is clearly numero uno but they aren't in a class all by themselves. It's still the Big Three (for now.)
  19. Also, while Cincy has a similar population, I would be willing to say that it has a larger Catholic population.
  20. Simms is taking his visits, but in my very honest opinion is a Cardinal. Mustain has re-enrolled at Arkansas to finish out the Spring, and the rumor is that was actually on Kragthorpe's advice. If Simms goes elsewhere, Louisville will be after Mustain, and my guess is he would probably come. But I don't think it comes to that, everything I've heard and read says Simms ends up at Louisville.
  21. So you've got the ol' crystal ball up and running again?
  22. Louisville is now tied for 2nd in the Big East. The next five games are all winable: vs Syracuse @ Cincy @ Nova vs GTown vs USF If Louisville goes 4-1 in those games, and I really think they should, the Cards are sitting at 8-3 in conference coming in to the home stretch.
  23. Louisville is now tied for 2nd in the league 6 games in.
