True, but when you go to deep in the Tournament with Young underclassmen, then that also tells some of the new tryouts that there is no sense in trying out, because the young players already have their spots locked. Not a bad thing for the School, but not too many players wanna come out for a backup role. At the same point you would think some of these kids would not mind being backups, just to get to experience a possible return trip to Applebees Park.:thumb: BTW, from what I have heard all the top 16th Region teams had very low turnouts. I have been told that some of the schools had to pick up players that would had never made it on the team in years past.

I believe Raceland comes away with a Win on Senior Night. Raceland by 5.

I would say a few of the Freshman have a chance to play some Varsity this year, maybe some of the BC Faithful can confirm that. There are probably more Freshman on the Boyd County Roster, counting Varsity and JV, then any other grade, if all their Summer team shows up. Freshman of note that will make a difference in the years to come that I remember from last year are: Kyle Pauley - Infield Tyler Arthur - Infield/Pitcher Brad Cornwell - Catcher Cody Clark - Infield Like I said there are a lot of Freshman that are playing Baseball in Boyd, but just not sure of their names. Greenup's youth teams used to compete at a high level with the Boys from Boyd and should compete well with them in the Future.:thumb:

From what I have heard is that Raceland's weekness will be Pitching. From what I have heard is that Boyd's weakness will be Pitching and youth in the Infield. I am sure both teams will work it out though.

I will bite: So what is Greenup Counties weakness? What about Raceland? What about Boyd County?

The same way he can put Rowan, West and Morgan ahead of Boyd.

Normally you wont play any team from your Region. You will normally play most of your games against a In-State team, but they will be from another part of the State. They will normally play one out-of-state team.

No...That is part of the contest, which is to guess who will get matched up with who. We do know that a Winner of one district will play a Loser of another district and the 2 teams that advance out of the same District cannot be in the same bracket.
