I have to admit...That is interesting...But you never know...anything can happen in the 16th Region...It is all about matchups.

BTW..I am writing down everyones predictions and the losers have to buy all the hot dogs for the Rose Hill faithfuls at the first Home game next year.

I will go with Rowan County and Bath County winning their games in the 61st, with Bath County winning the District. I will go with Elliott County and East Carter winning their games in the 62nd, with Elliott County winning the District. I will go with Raceland and Greenup County winning their games in the 63rd, with Raceland winning the District. I will go with Rose Hill and Fairview winning the their games in the 64th and Rose Hill winning the District. I will then say the schedule will draw as: Elliott County vs Rowan County Raceland vs Fairview Rose Hill vs East Carter Bath County vs Greenup Then: Elliott County vs Fairview Rose Hill vs Bath County Then:Elliott County vs Rose Hill With Elliott County going to the Sweet 16. Wouldnt a Guard be more valuable then a Big man, because a good guard is exchanging Three pt shots for Two pt shots that a big man would make. Even if they shoot a lower percentage it still adds up for more. You see more guards averaging a lot of pts per game, more than you do a big man. Also, most big men dont play the full game, where a Guard can last a whole game. Just my observation.

Good subject here Corleone. There definetly could be some changes in the offseason, but probably not as many as expected. I definetly dont see Mays leaving yet. Not for at least one more year and the boys graduate. Zornes, Dodd and Biggs all have different situations: 1. All of them do have a large lack of talent in the program, for a few years. 2. Zornes still has the school/community support thru the tough times. At first I believe he was ready to give up, but now believe he is taking this as a challenge. And trust me it will be a challenge for a couple of years, but will pay off. 3. From what I have been told with Dodd is he has lost his support from the Community, and possibly did not have much support to start with. The word Politics came up in the conversation a couple of times. Dodd seems to be decent coach, but not familiar with him to comment more that what I have been told. 4. Biggs - Good coach, but the cupboard is bare and will loose support real quick, if not already lost, in Ashland if you are not winning night after night. I would say Flynn is saying "I told you so" somewhere right now. On the subject of Cooksey. I cant see him giving up Coaching. Also would be tough to turn the program over to his Son when there is a guy there by the name of Jeff Hall. Unless Jeff has offered to assist and help Rex's son to grow as a Coach. If so, then it is a great time to turn over the helm.:thumb:

I think this game will be closer than expected, especially knowing how bad Ashland has been playing and how well RH has been playing lately. I think there is no doubt that RH comes away with the Win, but will be a close game.

Ricky, Thru all the comments made on BGPreps and all thru all the forums that get closed, the 16th Region fans are still there for all the other schools in time of need. We all get on here and support our past and present teams, but all in all still root and support all the 16th Region teams. The 16th Region fans are special. The rest of the state can compare our player talent at our schools as being lower than most of the State, but our Fans in the 16th are at the Top of the State. (BTW, dont tell anyone, but I even rooted for Ashland a few years back when they were playing Paintsville in the State Championship:sssh::sssh:
