Those were East Carter kids that went to Rose Hill a few years, then came back home.

He is the quickest high school guard I have seen in quite some time. He also showed nice range in this game.

I believe they play Glasgow at 4:00. It has been a very competetive tourney, East vs Glasgow should be no different. Hall looked pretty smooth shooting the basketball today, he has a nice stroke for the Scotties. His father didn't seem to happy getting re-introduced to 16th region officials though, the chin was out most of the game!!

CC got a heck of a performance from #23, not sure on a name, I believe he had 39 points. The Raiders took everything he threw at them and kept boucing back.

I believe everybody had Ashland, East and Rowan as the top 3 teams in preseason all along and the coaches voted Ashland No. 1 in the DI preview. These 3 teams will battle it out all year long I believe!!

I really feel bad for a kid who has to move to a new house and go to a new school a few miles away this close to graduation. I guess maybe there was a change of employment or something and it could not be avoided. Surely the KHSAA will understand, they are understanding people, they will know it wasn't baseball related.

I am sure Barr will gain eligibility with the KHSAA, everyone does sooner or later.

Elliott, Bath and Raceland did not want the EKC Tournament to come back, when it was voted back in by a majority of the member schools they chose to drop out of the conference.

Good win for the Raiders, 3-0 is a good way to start the season.

Which had NOTHING to do with the FT difference. Is everybody supposed to shoot the same number of ft's? Is that rule I missed that the KHSAA put in?? 2 things: Fleming is mainly a jump shooting team with not really a back to the basket post up player which of course doesn't lead to a lot of ft's, East likes to go inside to Barnhill which leads to fouls, also, about 10 of those ft's came at the end when Fleming fouled on purpose.

Fleming Co. played extremely physical, bottom line.

West looked good at the Heart of the Parks scrimmage against Huntington High. They aren't deep, but have 3 or 4 guys that can play. I don't know much about Morgan this year, but they are always competetive and well coached. I'll take West 62-57.

54-51 East after 3 periods. Knipp came alive in the 3rd and now has 20 points after shooting 3-14 in the first half, including 1-7 behind the arc.

Coaches CAN participate in the off season during the summer. From the last day of school or June 1, whichever is earlier, they can do anything they want until the first day of school next year (except for the June 25-July 9 dead period of course!)
