Rose Hill minus defectors

Featured Replies

A good friend of mine texted me and asked me to start this thread. And I think it's a good idea. Just imagine if all of the Rose Hillers had remained over the past few seasons at what a lineup they'd be running out every evening.

Chad Jackson

Dakotah Euton

Mike Terry

Ryan Whetsel

Corey Gregg

JD Adams

Collin Kennedy

Robbie Barber

Kyle Bush

I may be missing one or two, but that team would no doubt be hands down favorite in the 16th but would likely be a top 5 in the Commonwealth.

I see 6 names up there that had AAU ties together and some even went to the same school so they could play together. No doubt in my mind that Scott Co is a great basketball program but what I have witnessed in the last couple years with Flannery, Euton, Jackson (all AAU teammates) deciding to transfer there, it still smells fishy.

Don't forget Camron Hall.

Yep, told you I'd forget some. They'd be stellar.

So maybe you could put next to their name where they are now, that would help. Also, were these kids together at any time?

Impressive, so Scott Co gets 3, Ashland gets 3 in the big lottery.

I agree, would be a very good starting 5. My question to you Doc, is if the economy had not gone south, would most of these players still be at Rose Hill?

Well, I'm no Allen Greenspan, although I have a similar haircut. I'd guess economics just weren't the issue.

But I can't answer for those folks.

Yep, none came to NKY.

Unless they wanted to win a state championship in football I wouldnt expect them to come to Highlands. :ylsuper:

That would be a very good team and a legit top 5 in the state.

Which raises the question...would Scott Co still be top 3 in the state without Barber, Jackson, and Euton this year?

Would Fairview and Ashland still be 16th region favorites without Gregg, Whetsel, Bush, Terry, and Adams?

IMO this group could have contended for a state title had they stayed together. All are making an impact at their new schools.

Could have won a state championship in basketball though....I believe the 2009 state title banner is hanging in a fieldhouse in Covington. :thumb:

I don't remember a Barber. And he's now at Scott Co.? What grade? And here in Westwood, we could also say what could have been if Cameron Hall were still an Eagle. Add him to the mix we have here and that would have been very potent.

No doubt.

I bet Chad Jackson would have been one spectacular wideout.:thumb:
