  1. That is true. But something a lot of people are forgetting is Warren had just played 1 game before playing JBS the first time and I honestly think he was a huge factor in this game. He seemed to dominate the inside with Jones. I still think these are hands down the top 2 teams in the region. Even without Cox JBS is tough. Hazard seems to be playing their best ball right now. I look for there to be one more game between these two.

  4. Great effort by Buckhorn. They really missed Blank, but I think Buckhorn played their tales off. Zach Gay played awesome for Buckhorn scoring 30. Done a great job inside against Collins. I think by tournament time Buckhorn will be used to not having Blank and will be a force. Coach Noble has done a great job getting them refocused on their goals. The other kid on crutches is Andrew Abbott. He doesn't start but gives them good minutes off the bench. Doesn't score a lot, but is a rebounding force and plays hard on the defensice end. Not sure how long he will be out. Probably about to return.
  5. Hazard came out with a great game plan and perfected it. JBS really showed how much Cox means to them. Hazard's D was outstanding. Campbell done a great job on Clark Stepp and Whitaker done a great job on Clint Stepp. Jones and Warren dominated inside all night long. Kidd, Marting, and Lewis also gave Hazard great minutes in leading to this win. My only complaint is that I think Hazard may have slowed it down just a tad too early. Almost let JBS back in it. Congrats to Hazard and good luck in the state.
  6. I know Blank (Buckhorn) is out. Not 100% on Cox (JBS), but I think he may be back.
  7. From what I am hearing, Cox will play. I agree that without Blank the task of upsetting JBS will be tough. I do think Buckhorn will come out ready to play and will play JBS hard to the finish.
  8. Semi-Final game at Perry Central. They went into OT last season in the semi-finals. Earlier Buckhorn led at the half against JBS before JBS won by around 15. JBS has been the team to beat all season long along with Hazard in the 14th. Buckhorn has struggled with a tough schedule but seems to be playing much better. However, BUckhorn is without leading scorer Blank. Any thoughts?
  9. Semi-Final game at Perry Central. Hazard has been one of the top teams of the season along with JBS. Cordia has been the surprise team of the 14th this season. I think this will be a good one. Any thoughts?
  10. This was a big win for Buckhorn. They really came together with the loss of Andy Blank. Buckhorn played with a purpose. It is very important for them to come out with the same intesity tonight against JBS.
  11. Man, if I could have missed one more I could have been last. Oh well, congrats kygirl18
  12. I think Riverside is a much improved team. Still overmatched by a lot of teams they play, but they still play hard. They a pretty good player in Napier.
  13. Correct me if I am wrong, but if Estill wins they will be the #1 seed hands down. Owsley is already the #4 seed. Meaning Powell and Lee would be 2 & 3. Of course this is if Estill wins. If Estill wins, the seeding will be much closer as Estill and Lee still play.
  14. Has this game been played? If not, when. If so, what was the result?
  15. Are they still playing this game?
  16. I'd say they'll play it tomorrow since the semi-finals is scheduled for Saturday.
  17. He has injured his meniscus (spelling?). Also, does anyone know anything on Cox (JBS). Is he back or still out with his knee?
  18. Weather Pending, Buckhorn travels to Owsley to play in the quarterfinals of the All A Region. Winner will move on to the semi-finals on Saturday at PCC VS JBS (they play Riverside tonight). Buckhorn is without Andy Blank. Owsley is at home. This should be a good one. Any thoughts? I'll take Buckhorn by 7.
  19. Lee will keep it close because of them being at home, but I feel Hazard will just be too much for Lee. I'll take Hazard by 17.
  20. Yes. He got injured in the Leslie Co. game. Hasn't played since.
  21. I am not hearing good things out of it. I was told that he is possibly out for 6 months. Depending on whether he is going to have surgery or not. This is a big blow for Buckhorn. However, this team has talent. They just haven't pulled out some of the tough wins yet. THey looked somewhat good against Estill the other night without Andy. They have some seniors that really need to step up now.
  22. Tonight's Games in the quarterfinals look like this. JBS at Riverside Buckhorn at Owsley Co. Hazard at Lee Co. Wolfe Co. at Cordia Should be some good ones.
  23. Owsley stands a good chance against Buckhorn tonight. Buckhorn will be most likely be without Andy Blank. However, Buckhorn looked pretty good the other night against Estill without Blank. Should be a good one. It usually is when Buckhorn and Owsley meet.
  24. I don't know a whole lot about girls' basketball but here goes. 5 Lexington Catholic 3 Boone Co. 3 Henderson Co. 1 Manual 1 Calloway Co. 1 Pike Central 1 Adair Co. 1 Muhlenberg North 1 Christian Co. 1 Sacred Heart TB: 147
  25. I agree. It is tough to beat Lee at home. A couple of seasons ago Hazard had the team to beat and had to travel to Wolfe. Another team that is tough to beat at home. Unfortunately for Hazard, Wolfe pulled the upset. In the same year, JBS traveled to Owsley and was upset in that game. When going on the road you can never look ahead.
