It is my understanding that Thacker wasn't even offered the postion until a month after he was already into school and there was no way that it could have worked out with that type of timing and football already underway. His wife is also pregnant with their thrid child and a move at this time wasn't in the cards. Contracts for both of them were an issue. I don't think that they could have gotten out of them. I thought that Eric Ratliff had already been hired on a interim basis until the spring. Is that not the case???

My fear is that a lot of colleges (particularly in-state) will be leary of his size (6-0 185) but believe me he is a big timer in work ethic and performance. You would be hard pressed to find a player that has had Friday night after Friday night like he has. He reminds me of a more athletic and stronger version Billy Jack Haskins with his arm and a Derek Abney(I say Abney quick not Abney fast) with his feet. He stops and cuts on a dime the quickest of kids I've ever seen in 32 years of watching high school football. He will knock the snot out of people from free safety but is truly a linebacker at heart. He loves contact and is absloutely fearless. This may suprise you but if he had to play LB in college and redshirted a year he could be a Jeff Snedegar type of player. His frame is such that he cold stand to gain 35 lbs. and still be flat out quick. You have to remember he never played QB til he got to high school. He is just going to get better. He is an A student and ACT high achiever. He is not a risk to anybody because of his academic qualifications. He is a winner and that means something rivals nor scout can measure.I hear UCONN and Murray State if he wants to play offense. UK or UVA if he plays Defense.

Franklin County's Ally Campassi signed this morning with Union College. Congrats to Ally and her family. Tim Curry does a fantastic job and continues to get quality players.

Can anyone tell me what the low down on this vacancy is right now? I know the job has been posted on the KHSAA webste but it seems they haven't had that much success. What kind of job is it as far as athletes and facilities, feeder system and athletes go????

Larry Legend Lives on at good ole East Ridge!! You would be hard pressed to find a greater guy than the Legend. its good to hear that he is doing o.k. He loves kids and loves the game!!!!!!!

How good will East Ridge be in baseball this year. Are they about to get over the hump as a program???

Maybe Kaelin Ammons at Franklin County will have something to say about Harrison, East or West jessamine being better than FCHS in a WEAK district.

What about Maurice Dixon at North Broward Prep. He was once an assistant at Lex. Catholic. Great coach and maybe he would want to get back closer to family.
