corners in Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 How good will East Ridge be in baseball this year. Are they about to get over the hump as a program???
Buck Master Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 No they are a long way from being at the hump much less over it. Coach Justice is doing a good job but with a poor feeder program it is tough to build a good high school program.
Buck Master Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Who is responsible for the feeder system? Coaches in my opinion are responsible, but you better have good parents from the little league level up.
LuckyEddie Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Does he have any control over the little league, as in how it's operated? In high schools in which they are the lone high school in a county I would think the head coach would have some input over the feeder programs, but counties with mulitiple high schools would seem to pose problems as far as who makes decisions. Does that make sense?
jdubb104 Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 East Ridge could surprise some of you pessimistic posters...they are the youngest team in the region, and theyre not stacked on defense...however with Kevin Justice at helm, they will get some good wins. I predict about a 16-14 record for the Warriors this year, partly due to their fairly-easy schedule.
Buck Master Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Not being pessimistic, just a realist. I think Kevin does a good job, the fact the players play 3 sports hurts as well.
Alfus21 Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 16-14 record for the Warriors this year, partly due to their fairly-easy schedule. Understatement of the year...Its the easiest schedule ever made...
dolamite Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 East Ridge lost a lot of talent from last years team, Slone, Billiter, Jackson, Ward (Ace, Catcher SS/2B, best outfileder) etc. practically the entire starting line-up, so they will play very young and inexperienced this season. Still a couple of years away IMO. East Ridge has good talent potential, but it is very young, inexperienced, and under developed at this point in time. They will be better with age.
